Guest guest
Hi everyone... I am stumped!!! My son has been on Nystatin twice a day for yeast for about 3 months and was doing great on it...no mushy poops/better behavior, etc. My DAN dr. was trying to ween him off the Nystatin and see how he would do without it, so we went from 2 pills a day down to 1 pill a day. In addition, we also added a probiotic (mindlinks) and a pre-biotic (Flora-Restore). Well, my son's yeast came back! I immediately started up on the Nystatin again twice a day, but his poop is still mushy and yeasty. I have not changed his diet or given him any new foods (we are GFCFSF), so I am stumped. I have been reading alot about digestive enzymes, so I went online and bought some called DigestRight by Learners Edge (my son takes several supplements already made by that brand). I have not received the enzymes yet, and do not know if that is the answer. My son's DAN dr. is off on Fridays, so I cannot call him until Monday. Meanwhile, my son has a terrible diaper rash from all of the yeasty poops. I swear, just when you think you have something figured out, it all changes. I would appreciate any advice or anything anyone would like to share. Thanks so much! e
