Guest guest
Jen, how long has he been on the Diflucan? Seems like maybe that would be more of a symptom of die off? I looked up Valtrex side effects and didn't really see anything listed for diarrhea. I know my son has been on Valtrex for a week now too, and he's developing some loose stools, but it's because his Chlostridia is starting to get out of control (I know that's what it is because the smell is unmistakeable). I'm holding my breath waiting for my Kirkmans shipment to get here with the good Sac B.... the stuff we have locally is crap and I can never get Flagyl down him > > Hi all. Guest guest
Well I dont think its the diflucan.. He was on that for a month before being on the Valtrex.. I did give him a full capsule of pro bio gold the past 2 days though when I usually just give him most of a full capsule.. but maybe that is why.. Then again, maybe its the viruses coming out ?? I dont know, but I hope it stops soon because its hard to even touch that area it hurts him so much.. Thanks for your help > > > > Hi all. Guest guest
Could the Valtrex have kicked up more yeast? I am new to this part of the game so I am interested in the responses...but to me, a newbie, it sounds like yeast... Angie R Mom to Ethan, , and > > > > > > Hi all. Guest guest
It's not likely the Valtrex. Valtrex doesn't generally cause diarrhea. Have you given any new foods? Too much fruit? Too much apple juice? Any new supps?CherylHi all. Well I have been giving my son Valtrex for about a week now. Just today he started having some diarrhea.. Its not huge amounts but it is causing his bottom to have a rash and its really sore. I am using Desitin though not sure its helping much.. Just wondering, could this be a side effect of the Valtrex? Thanks everyoneJen

Guest guest
I Think it was from giving him a full capsule of pro bio gold for a few days in a row. Normally I just give him most of a capsule, but this has happened before when Ive tried a full capsule. Anyway, I am pretty sure the irritability must be caused by the Valtrex.. I hope it doesnt last much longer.. > > > Hi all. Well I have been giving my son Valtrex for about a week now. > > Just today he started having some diarrhea.. Guest guest
I think it is the viruses making him not feel good.. It is strange how some kids can handle a large amount of probiotics and others cant even handle a full capsule. I am planning on starting coconut kefir and I hope he can handle that ok.. going to start very slowly... > > > > > Hi all.
