Guest guest
Thank you Shelia! I am 63 and in the Los Angeles area. I would try again only if the treatment does not include the Roba and the interferon. I am now about taking the best care of muself nw. NO EXCUSES! I don't know how old you are but I'm 51 and if my treatment doesn't work, I really doubt I will try a 4th time. I will just accept (which I have already done) the virus and die when I die. All of us could die from something other then Hep C and God will take care of our time when he calls, he calls. Like someone mentioned other meds are coming out and either way you decide to try them or not,,,I'm behind you 100%.Good luck in your future and we all need to still meet in New Orleans, maybe sometime next year (I will be done with my treatment in December and don't want to travel until). My body did a total and compete rejection of all of it, so Dr Tram stopped it. She did say that were drugs in the pipline that did not involve the riba and the interferon. Time to take care of myself! Hope that you are doing well.Lots of love to you and !!Steph To: Hepatitis_C_Central Sent: Thursday, May 10, 2012 4:19 PM Subject: Re: Re: Starting soon Oh honey I am so sorry! I had diareah every day and my butt hurt like it never did before (since I have completed the incivek I don't have those problems at all) and the 12 weeks will be done before you know it. I used pertroleum jelly on my butt and that made it feel better so that is a suggestion. Make sure you are drinking enough of the liguid (mine was at least 64oz of noncaffiene a day) and they say they go by the weight of our body as far as how much liguid we should make sure we take in. Do remember if you drink caffiene that will dehydrate you which will make things worse so I do advise you to stop drinking any caffiene or at least make up for the amount you do intake. I thank you for mentioning the nose bleed for I have had that problem for awhile and I thought I have made that problem and didn't realize it may be a side effect of the medicine. I know you are working and I don't know how anyone can work with these side effects. Is there a possibility you can take a leave of absence (just a suggestion). I wouldn't have made it working for I felt just as you do and working would have kicked my butt even worse. I'm still having problems with my hemoglobin (have they checked yours steph?) for that definitely brings you down big time. I get a blood test every Tuesday and my hemo was down to a 7.7 so I'm still having problems with that. Thanks for keeping us updated and ask any questions, no question is too stupid.......EVER. I woke up this morning and starting throwing up,then the runs and while that was going on my nose started to bleed. It took me eating 2x and throwing it up and then on the third attemp I was able to hold it in order to take the Incevik and Riba. My tush is bleeding What next! I am have a really hard time with the fat. Any suggestions? I do not know how I am going to do this. Remember your 20gms of fat with each dose of incivek and drink alot of water/gatorade. Remember coffee and coke have caffiene which dehydrates the body and we want to hydrate it. I took my meds on the following schedule (which they say an every 8 hour schedule is very important with the incivek): Everyday: 9am-incivek & Ribovirin 5pm-incivek & Ribovirin 1am-incivek On Wednesdays: I shot of Pegasys @ 8pm (I didn't stick with 8pm but made sure I did it before bed on Wednesdays) Wednesday was my first day of medicine and they wanted me to start all 3 meds on the first day.
