zinc and chelation questions....

2 questions...

First, zinc seems to make my child hyperactive, or atleast unable to

settle down and fall asleep. I had been giving it at bedtime because

I understood it was best absorbed in an empty stomach...any idea how

long the body needs to go without food after getting zinc, because I

can't disturb his bedtime routine with it anymore, way too important.

Secondly...are DMSA and ALA stable for long? If I am to mix ALA with

juice for his dose, I would have 2 doses per capsule, can I save what

I've mixed for the next dose? Refridgerate it? Or just absorb the

cost, and toss it?

Thanks for any guidance...Kate.

Just give it in the morning and don't worry about food. If absorption

seems poor, simply use more - it is cheap.

ALA should be stable. DMSA is more sensitive to oxidation than ALA,

so it should be in some reasonably acidic (tart or sour tasting)

juice.
