Do you have confidence in the supply of colloidal silver ?  I don't know if there is a pharmaceutical or equivalent grade ?  Just to be very careful.Okay ...I will post our results. I am intrigued bc of the enzyme stuff site and bc I think Matt's gut issues may not be able to be dealt with unless we can get a handle on the bacteria....still hoping someone else has marched down this road first...anybody?

I loked through the archives on this site and it seems Stan is

against this intervention for our kids, some others had good

results..now I am not sure I will try it with Matt...so we are stuck

again. My poor little man, If only mom could figure this thing out!-

I was tempted to try it externally on my kids' molloscum because I

heard it cleared them up, but I chickened out. I would be very

hesitant to give it internally because we are metals people.

Di, I know you are doing high dose probiotics and strict diet (you

have inspired me to do the same after strict SCD and we are doing

well) - I wonder if garlic, gse or maybe rotating the probiotics could

help?

I have a gut feeling that colloidal silver can solve a lot of problems;  and another gut feeling that I'd like to make it myself, so that I know how pure it is.I loked through the archives on this site and it seems Stan is against this intervention for our kids, some others had good results..now I am not sure I will try it with Matt...so we are stuck again. Neither my son nor I are on the spectrum, but for what it is worth...

we have used colloidal silver.

The brand that was recommended by a local health store is Nature's

Sunshine Silver Shield. All I can say is that is works.

m=4074>

(You'll notice the vague claims by the manufacturer; those are FDA

imposed. They can only say it is 'immune support,' not that it is an

anti-bacterial, etc. The FDA has shut down any website selling

colloidal silver that makes claims beyond it being a dietary supplement!)

Both my son and I have allergies that occasionally lead to mild sinus

infections causing headaches. The day I picked up the colloidal

silver, I could feel the headache coming on; by the time I got home,

it had taken hold. I took the recommended one teaspoon dose (which is

actually a daily supplement dose suggested at 3 times per day); the

solution looks like water and doesn't taste much different. Within 20

minutes my headache had faded away which, for me, was unheard of with

a decongestant and/or even with pain medication. I felt a bit of a

headache the next day or two. Just one teaspoon each time and it never

took hold. I didn't have sinus trouble for quite some time after that.

When my son has had sinus headaches, I've given him a 1/2 teaspoon

with the same results. All this without the side-effects of

prescription antibiotics.

The store's owner reassured me that all the hysteria around colloidal

silver is just that: 'hysteria.' Silver is a long-known

anti-bacterial/anti-microbial; it's been used for hundreds of years.

Silver is not foreign to our bodies; we get it in our food. In ancient

times, royalty put silver coins in their water barrels to keep the

water safe to drink when they traveled. Even today, the drops they

give newborns are silver-based and the treatment of choice for burns

is silver-solution coated gauze. Recently, there have been adhesive

bandages released on the market that use silver gauze. The owner told

me that the recent attempts of the FDA to squash the colloidal silver

industry are unfortunate; he likens them to their efforts to keep

Stevia out of the marketplace years ago. When Stevia finally slipped

through a crack, the FDA would not allow manufacturers to claim that

it was sweet- only that it was a dietary supplement. Since it has

since become public knowledge that Stevia is sweet, manufacturers can

now make the claim. (amazing)

Anyway, if Argyria is a concern, the known 'blue people' basically

ODed on silver for many, many months and even years. Both recent blue

men (one from Montana, the other from Oregon who later moved to

California) both admit that they had concocted their own silver

home-brews of unknown strength and were taking too much, too often.

(One still takes it!!) The lady was given a standing prescription as a

child for silver-based nose drops that she used for 3 years for a

constant cold. (And, quite frankly, this stuff is not cheap; I doubt

many people could afford to OD on store-bought!)

Along with what the health store owner's recommendation, I did as much

research as I could on the internet. The final clincher for me was

finding a study done at Brigham Young University just this past year

showing that Colloidal Silver was effective against MRSA.

But, this is us. I'm not sure how silver would play into metals

issues... Is silver considered a heavy metal?

Take care,

That's very helpful, , Thank you.Your last question about silver  (and gold) being a heavy metal.  If it is taken as silver nitrate, which is soluble, I believe it behaves more as a dangerous heavy metal.  When taken as a colloid of pure silver it behaves much more as an anti-microbial.When I do take some silver colloid I plan on taking chelation, or zeolite, for some time after, anyway:  for the other heavy metals I'm endowed with.  Two belts & two sets of braces...Neither my son nor I are on the spectrum, but for what it is worth...we have used colloidal silver. The brand that was recommended by a local health store is Nature'sSunshine Silver Shield. Perhaps you've already had an answer to this by now but may I add I

have been getting my C-Silver for a few years now from Life Force

International. Every year in (around) November they run a promotion

on Silver and Taheebo, package deal at a nice discount. I usually

pick up at least 2-3 sets a year.

With my latest bout of " going viral " and getting that nasty infection

in my spleen, the " swig of Silver daily " really helped clear things out!
