Guest guest
Hi, My 9yr old was treated for asthma for the last two years, he's on Symbicort. In the fall, the allergist told me to take him off it, he didn't believe he had ashthma, there had always been seasonal allerigies also. My son got worse and worse, chest pain, congested every morning, throat pain. He was put on an antibiotic for an infection. He developed chronic stomach aches and diarrhea. Finally they did an endoscopy which revealed esophagitis, not they are treating him for reflux with Prilosec. He is now symptom free on the reflux meds, asthma meds and claritinD for bad seasonal allergies. could he have had reflux all his life and I didn't know? His only complaint before this was off and on chest pain and sometimes diarrhea after a spicy meal. Would asthma untreated cause reflux symptoms? I'm so confused. I have asthma and so does my 6yr old. Thank you, Debbie P.
