Dear Terry,

On behalf of all our members, welcome to our Erythema Nodosum Group!

Thanks for sending in your Questionnaire. I have added the information

to our " Member Medical History " Files on the Group site and posted it

below.

You now have Full EN Group privileges.

You are receiving ALL EN Group emails, and you can also go to the EN

Group site whenever you like:

http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/erythema_nodosum_Group/

and logging on with your Yahoo ID and secret password.

You do not have to have the group emails delivered to be a member here.

I would guess that the surgery put you under a great deal of stress

and may have affected your hormones. This could have triggered your

EN. We are currently discusing the effects of hormones and stress as

EN triggers. Anoter possability is IBD which includes Crohn's and

Ulcerative Colitis. Often doctors will misdiagnose IBS instead of

these more serious disorders that are related to EN. Welcome to the Group!

Love,

*******

In October of last year I had a novasure ablation and my tubes tide.

the next day I noticed a bump on each leg (I assumed I banged them

doing something while I was on pain meds) but the lumps on my right

leg started spreading and went from being a dime sized not to a

cluster about the size of my palm. I have a new lump right now on my

left leg. the doctor did some blood work and my cardio crp was 4.5, I

went to a Rhuemetologist but by the time he got me in, the lumps were

gone, he sent me to a dermatologist for a biopsy. there was nothing to

biopsy and the dermatologist said I don't biopsy muscle.. so nothing

happened. I went back to the rhuemetologist (who again did nothing)

and went back to my doctor, he did another blood test and my cardio

crp was now 7.5 plus my cholesterol was up. I was sent for an MRI and

chest exrays (both were normal) he put me on a round of antibiotics

and lipitor. my doctor is 100% sure I have EN but he still isn't sure

what is the cause. I doubt we'll ever know.

6. List any other health conditions. IBS, (which was I was having

the novasure ablation since my periods were a major trigger). Acid

Reflux.

I don't really know if they are related.
