Guest guest
Thank you SO much for posting this. I learned this quote many years ago, from someone who was my mentor in my career. But she did not mention the source. I use this quote many times myself as it has had so much significance to me. I am really glad to know where it came from, so that I can include that information as well. Hope you are doing well, Sylvia > Hi All, > > I just wanted to share this quote for the day, since it seems so > appropriate for where I am right now, and probably also for others > on this list: > > " Between stimulus and response, there is a space. Guest guest
Hi Sylvia, The man himself (Victor l) was an amazing person - a Holocaust survivor both physically and emotionally, even though he lost so much (I think his entire family save for his sister died in the camps). I read " Man's Search for Meaning " in college, before I even started down the road of my own personal healing. Truly a success story in overcoming tremendous odds. Have a good day! > > Hi All, > > > > I just wanted to share this quote for the day, since it seems so > > appropriate for where I am right now, and probably also for others > > on this list: > > > > " Between stimulus and response, there is a space. Guest guest
, I agree. I was aware of Victor l's life story, but didn't know the quote was his. I think that makes the quotation all the more meaningful. Guest guest
This was my HeartQuote for today, and I wanted to share it since it is so very true when it comes to our healing process: " There can be no knowledge without emotion. We may be aware of a truth, yet until we have felt its force, it is not ours. To the cognition of the brain must be added the experience of the soul.
