Hi, my name is Ginger and my son is Kade, he's 8, he hasn't officially been

diagnosed with OCD yet, I've taken him to one counselor in our town and we

really didn't click with her at all. She never really gave a diagnosis or

treatment plan either. We have an appointment with another counselor next week,

finally. I've talked to her on the phone and from what I've told her she's

pretty sure that's what it is. I've been reading on the internet and reading

all the books I can get my hands on about OCD. Anyways, Kade is dealing with

obsessive thoughts and I really can't get much info specifically on thoughts in

the books I've read. He has thoughts such as, " I hate God. " " I hate you,

Momma. " He thinks bad thoughts about people on tv or says things like " Its

telling me that it's funny. " if someone dies or gets killed. This is just

horrible to me because he has always been the sweetest most loving child you

could ever know and would do anything for

anybody, would cry if someone was sick or hurting and it's like a switch has

been turned on and it just kills me to hear some of the things he says and

thinks but I know it's not him. He has also had lots of sexual thoughts like he

was touching someone or seeing perverted pictures in his mind that he would

describe to me. Has anyone else dealt with issues like these? He really

doesn't have rituals only that he feels he has to tell me all these things.

Thank you.

Ginger
