I am new in this group.

In ancient times to have kids was even a form of old-age pension for

the parents. Either the Roman Catholic Church also stimulated their

co-religionists to 'produce' as much kids as possible. Roman Catholic

women were formerly almost constantly pregnant, so my bp-mother too,

even during world war II.

I have heard dr. Gunderson saying to a psychiatrist who asked

him what to answer to a Bpw who wanted to be pregnant: " Let this Bpw

first learn to take care for an animal, but " -(very seriously !)

Gunderson further said-, " I mean with an animal not a dog or a cat

but a goldfish. "

Very little confidence has Gunderson in the power of Bp's to bring up

their children in a good way.

My daughter who is grown up by my ex.bpw (thanks to to-days Family

Court Culture) told me some time ago: " Dad, I have the feeling that I

have had to grown up by my self. " and " In mother's house I feel

myself only nice in my own room, but in your house I feel myself nice

in your whole house. " She is now an excellent teacher..... all done

by herself !

Well, that is not a doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church, actually. There were

people who had false beliefs or even misunderstandings that have continued on

and on (my grand-nada even had false beliefs about such things) and made

assumptions about what the Catholic church taught but producing kids constantly

is not a teaching of the church and never was. Just wanted to clarify that.

I can certainly understand why ! My nada was as described in a previous post -

she is real good with babies but once they get out of that " cute " and total

dependent stage, she starts not to like the kid as much any more. My 14 year

old daughter certainly can attest to that one!

Yeah, it's too bad kids have to grow up like that sometimes. Fortunately those

unfortunate conditions can help make them a stronger person in the end.

Unfortunate for some that they are ruined from it.

Why they had kids?

I was thinking if they did not have children, where would we be without this

support?

All of us growing at different levels, but a child inside we can nurture

ourselves through the help of others (professionals) and people who have been

through what we have been through.

Gifts we all have, abilities most people do not have...

Sincerely to ALL,

Kim

I have to add to my post that the first boy-friend of my daughter was

a schizophrenic. At the age of 19 he committed suicide, the courtship

was than already gone for sometime .

So my daughter got also 'fleas' from her bp-mother through which she

had been involved by a schizophrenic boy.

She has had therefore also to learn that: Normal is Not Common !
