Guest guest
Hi, I am new to the list, both my kids are autistic, my son hfa-4, my daughter lfa-19 mos. We live in egypt (americans) but are coming back this summer. We want to get set up with a DAN doctor, any recommendations? How long does chelation take(in case this is what I need?) My kids were not vaccinated. Any of you in this situation? I have major dental work, and was majorly vaccinated, my husband was vaccinated twice fully and is from an allergic family. Anyone in this situation?? BTW, how much do dan doctors and the analysis cost out of pocket? um muhammad
Guest guest
Back again, We are not using a DAN doctor to help with our son's chelation - but our own local " Kaiser Permanente " doctor. (That is a private Health Maintenance Organization). The doctor who started all the interest in chelating autistic children for heavy metal toxicity is: Dr. Amy Holmes. She is in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, telephone number is: 225: 767-7433. I understand that she is an outstanding doctor and person. She has a little boy who has autism and has been chelating him for mercury toxicity for about 2 years. Hope you have seen many web sites that are helpful. Some are: AUTISM RESEARCH INSTITUTE - LOOK AT THIS ADDRESS FOR A LIST OF DAN DOCTORS IN EVERY STATE: http://www.autism.com/ari While at this site, you can also read the excellent research called: " Autism, a Unique Type of Mercury Poisoning " The long version is an eye opener showing comparisons between autism and mercury toxicity. To see information on chelation protocol, you can go to a site that features much information by Dr. Holmes: www.healing-arts.org/children/holmes.htm I could list many more, but a big help in questions on mercury toxicity and chelation is found at: www. Here, you need to ask to go to the list input your e mail and complete the password request. When at the Autism -Mercury list, look at the left side of the screen for " files " . There is a FAQ " frequently asked questions " and much more information. I'm sorry if you already know much of this information, but I hope it helps a little. Guest guest
I forgot to tell you a few things more: In andria, my husband has a cousin who showed autistic signs and could not talk until 6 years of age. A year later, this child visited my husbands family and the child was fine. He is a grown man now (almost the same age as my husband) and is a very good mechanic in andria. Also, my husband's nephew, Walid, is 14 and before the age of 5 showed many autistic symptoms (couldn't speak, hid under the curtains and table, refused to sit with the family in restaurants, etc.) By the age of 6, he began talking and now, at age 14 is pretty normal. .....He speaks French, English and attends a French speaking Christian high school. He is only a little odd in that he hates to play soccer and has silly eating habits. I bet that neither of them had many vaccinations....but they eat lots of fish, being in andria. Our young son, Adam is not as fortunate. He is 10 and speaks at about a 7 year level. He is in a regular classroom with students, but is slower to learn. He is a whiz on playstation video games, computer usage, puzzles, and is a wonderful kid. He has shown progress in areas that we have never seen before with the chelation. Hope I have answered a few of your questions.
