Poem: Why Kombucha Works

Daily their words come to me

Many miles distant claiming health

Claiming integrity

Asking questions

Offering wisdom

Offering prayers

Feeding dreams

Strangers over distance forming a symbiotic wholeness in the shape of a

pancake

Holding sacred in bowls and jars in kitchens and pantries our beautiful pets

These humble masses of cellular energy joining

These mothers and daughters bubbling in amber brew

Humble and cheap as sweet tea

Round as tender a mother's breast

Magical as ancient origin

Mysterious and symbiotic as a love affair

Growing reproducing fragments and clouds in recipes shared

This is health: This sharing, this believing, this community, this intention

This beery yeasty brew of love

well that's what I'm saying, every time it comes up there are a lot of

contradictory comments. The fact is, when I use it on his skin he is

ingesting some, because he very busily licks it all off, but it's a fairly

small amount. He actually is doing well right now and the acne and

infection is clearing. He's had cycles though where it clears and

returns,

so I'll see where this clearing goes.

Terry I buy a bottle of loose powder meant for humans, that is a mixed

bunch of acidophilus etc types. I put some in their little bit of wet

food

they get a day and mix it in. I have purchased probiotics made for

organic

agriculture, but cats are so finicky I had a hard time getting them to eat

it. The powder is very neutral and just disappears. I also sprinkle the

powder over their dry food bowls, and they eat it up.

The loose powder is way cheaper per serving than the capsules, and I have

long preferred it... I just pop a little bit in my mouth and let it

dissolve.
