Hi all,

Does anyone here have maybe a link to a good online list, or a good

website, that deals with chronic anxiety? I thought I was doing so

much better, but it just came back with a vengeance. It's funny how

you can know why you are the way you are, and yet still have such a

hard time changing it...

I figured this was the best place to start, since I know some others

on this list have similar struggles.

Thanks,

Hi ,

There are lots of meds for anxiety and sometimes when the anxiety

builds to a high level they are good at breaking the intensity, even

if taken for a short period. One thing that helped me when I was

highly stressed is deep breathing. The key is breathing deeply from

the abdomen, not the shallow breathing from the chest. I would lie on

the bed (with some aromatherapy candles, and relaxing music) and take

slow deep breaths (to make sure you are brething from your abdomen,

place one hand on your chest and one hand on your abdomen and make

sure the hand on your abdomen is moving up and down as you breath in)

Sometimes I would envision the breaths filling every cell in my body,

replinishing me with calm and strength. There are a lot of good

meditations out there that incorporate visualizations. Sending you

lots of calming thoughts......
