Dear Roy,

On the homepage of this group, you will see a section to the left of the screen, under the file section or the links I have the links for the compassionate care link for 2 of the major drug companies that supply drugs to folk who can't afford treatment without insurance or with insurance.

I will see if there are programs for the newest drugs that are on the market. I know that they clinical trial that I went through was through Merke. So you might want to go to their website and see if they have a compassion care program.

Love

Janet

Don't know what your copay is for your diabetes meds, or what you take, but if it is generic, check out www.rxoutreach.com you have to qualify based on income and family size.

I’m really anxious to start some treatment again. The last time I had hardly any side effects—about the only one was that my “man juice†was clear instead of milky. Unfortunately, my employee suddenly altered the drug coverage in his plan. Instead of a $50 co-pay and Interferon and Ribivirin, I had to come up with 50%—that’s $2000 every month. I SHOVEL ICE FOR A LIVING AT A CHICKEN PACKING PLANT! I had to drop out.

If some of you will tell me the gross, pre=insurance amount, I’ll be able to get together with my bosses and figure out if I can do the therapy one more time, this time all the way through. Any treatment you got will do, since I don’t know yet what my doctor will prescribe.

And while I’m at it, does anybody know how to get these drugs free? The Manufacturer had a program, but only for people with no insurance. I’m still going to need it for other things.

Please help—I’m desperate! I have diabetes II as well, and it seems that that increases my chances of getting Hepatocellular cancer. I DON’T WANT MY CIRRHOSIS TO GET ANY WORSE! I’ve already got liver pains, bruising, bleeding. I’m 57 and the rest of my life is starting to flash before my eyes; it’s a SHORT SUBJECT!

I’m sorry if you think this info is too personal. I’m not interested in your business (I’m sure you can handle that yourself), I just need an idea of the total cost.

A million thanks in advance!

Roy
