Guest guest
I am not positive if it is or not in epidurals, I suppose it would have to depend WHAT the doc used in the epidural...I think there are many different types of medications that can be used, topical numbing, and the medicine used that is injected into the epidural space... I DID however also hear that Pitocin has Thimerasol in it as well, I cant find the source right now, but I did read it a couple of months ago..it was info directly from the company that made a brand of pitocin too..argh! I wish I could find my link... Also, there are more Mercury outlets to investigate...do you have fillings in your mouth? Any shots while pregnant or shortly before (flu? pneumonia? tetnus?) hth, Angie Mom to Ethan, , and > > This is a question for all of the kindred spirits in this journey. > > I've been trying to find out the reason for my 3 year old ASD > son's mercury toxicity. Guest guest
A common solution for epidural infusion in childbirth or for post- operative analgesia is 0.2 percent ropivacaine or 0.125% bupivacaine, with 2 ìg/mL of fentanyl. This solution is infused at a rate between 4 and 14 mL/hour, following a loading dose to initiate the nerve block. All of those drugs seemd like bad news, but I don't know if they have thimerisol in them. I too had an epidral for almost 25 hours! Google epidural and autism too.. also some great insight on www.generationrescue.org > > This is a question for all of the kindred spirits in this journey. > > I've been trying to find out the reason for my 3 year old ASD > son's mercury toxicity. Guest guest
This is the first I'd heard about epidurals containing thimerisol. But I did hear that pitocin contained thimerisol, and that most OBs added pitocin to their patient's IV because it sped up the expelling of the afterbirth. I don't know if this is true, but would be interested in what you find out. My son is also completely unvaxed, but I received an epidural for him. Guest guest
That is an interesting thought. My asd kid was my first with a very long labor induced with lots of pitocin. My other 2 were induced as well, but labor was EXTREMELY short. (They are NT.) You mention other mercury possibilities: Recently, we noticed a strong smell of chlorine in our home when the water was in use. We called the local water dept. and they informed us that they were chlorinating the pipe. The process takes about 6 weeks. I just recently read on one of the posts that clorox is made with thimerasol. I would like to find out more about this. My son has a strong sensitivity to bleach. He also has a high mercury count according to his porphyrins test. I know most of our kids LOVE the water..... This may be another source of mercury. --- sherriningram wrote: > This is a question for all of the kindred spirits in > this journey. > > I've been trying to find out the reason for my 3 > year old ASD > son's mercury toxicity. Guest guest
Was it Clorox or Clorox soft scrub that has thimerosal in it? > > > This is a question for all of the kindred spirits in > > this journey. > > > > I've been trying to find out the reason for my 3 > > year old ASD > > son's mercury toxicity. Guest guest
I have not heard this and cant seem to find anything online about it. I would really like to know if epidurals do actually contain thimerosal.. I am 26 weeks pregnant right now and due at the end of June.. and was planning on another epidural... Thanks for posting.. > > > > > This is a question for all of the kindred spirits in > > > this journey. > > > > > > I've been trying to find out the reason for my 3 > > > year old ASD > > > son's mercury toxicity. Guest guest
Hi Sherrin, I do not know if the epidural has mercury in it but I do know that pitocin does. Also, if you have amalgam fillings or tatoos they are loaded with mercury. R
Guest guest
You would need to know the drug name in the epidural. I dont really know what they use.......you could opt out of the epidural all together though. Is it Demoral maybe ?? > > > > > > > This is a question for all of the kindred spirits in > > > > this journey. > > > > > > > > I've been trying to find out the reason for my 3 > > > > year old ASD > > > > son's mercury toxicity. Guest guest
I don't believe that "Proof" would be needed or even prove very useful; because logic can be used to "Prove anything."Evidence would be much more useful: especially if it is practical evidence.do you have proof of pitocin/thimerosal??>> Hi Sherrin, > I do not know if the epidural has mercury in it but I do know that pitocin does. Guest guest
Since the epidural is put in the spine can it even get into the bloodstream and get to the baby?? This is from an article I read.. An epidural catheter is a very fine plastic tube in your back placed close to the spinal cord and nerves. Drug can be delivered directly to the nerves and not have to travel in the blood stream so only small amounts of pain reliever is needed > > This is a question for all of the kindred spirits in this journey. > > I've been trying to find out the reason for my 3 year old ASD > son's mercury toxicity. Guest guest
There are other ways to get mercury in to your child during pregnancy: 1) Mercry fillings in moth of mother. 2) Eye contact solutions if usesd during or even prior to pregnancy!!! 3) Eating fish or seafood 4) Flu shots Now if you can prove that there is mercury in the epidural substance, then it would be an other thing!!! I hope you find the cause... Love, Gabby. :0) P.S. Good Luck!!! Never miss a thing. Make Yahoo your homepage.
