Guest guest
ARGH! Yet again I slipped with my ability to keep in touch with what's going on on the Texas Thyroid Forum. I am just abour floored to learn that Armour may have lost it's efficacy if that is the right word? My hair started falling out 6-8 weeks ago and it hasn't fallen out in at least 3-4 years that I've been on Armour and I didn't know what was going on. Troubling, and then I find out that there might be a problem with Armour? Dang it, I've been taking the 30 mg, 6 per day for years. I am also crashing more often. What can be done besides e-mailing Forrest? For the few of you that know me, I am now moved away from Montana and tucked away in New Mexico. Yay! It's so nice to see sunshine and blue skies again. :-) PS The Armour pills I am getting don't smell or taste as strongly as the ones that I am used to. Guest guest
You're back! Yay! Congrats on your New Mexico relocation - lucky you! But so sorry about the return of the hypo symptoms. Is there any remote chance you are reacting to being overwhelmed from the move? Did you change altitude much from where you were in MT? I am so reactive to prolonged stress and my symptoms get worse. My hair got thinner in the front top area during the long bout of shoulder problems I had in 2008. Lost a lot of sleep and had a lot of pain for several months. Then there was the incredible heat wave here in Dallas. Couldn't work in any meds increases. I am still using a 90 day supply of 30 mg Armour I got on 3/12 from Tom Thumb, and haven't noticed a change. Pills still smell strongly, still have that sweet taste when they dissolve under my tongue. I'm going to hold back a couple of pills and double check my new ones in June as Jan suggested. Hopefully we'll have more information on what's going on soon. Take care, - Sara > > ARGH! Yet again I slipped with my ability to keep in touch with what's going on on the Texas Thyroid Forum. Guest guest
I have had similar problems, and I am also on 30mgx3 daily. I thought it was from finger surgery from a dog bite 2/3/09. About 3/3/09 I started to have Hashimotos symptoms. Now I've Started to gain weight and have hair loss and problems " going " ! I thought it was from the whole surgery trauma. I am going to Get my blood tested tomorrow, I'll let you all know how that turns Out. I told Dr. Pucillo's nurse that I MUST have the Free T3 ordered Also. He won't order that test otherwise! Congrats on the move ......Lynn My hair started falling out 6-8 weeks ago and it hasn't fallen out in at least 3-4 years that I've been on Armour and I didn't know what was going on. Guest guest
Hi, ! My hair also started falling out again a couple of months ago, and I'm really feeling crappy. I'm taking the 30's, too. I've got an appt with the doc on Friday, so will see what my labs look like and what he says. Niki Gosh darnit, is this why my hair is falling out again??? ARGH! Guest guest
Dog bite surgery? Ow! I am also crashing right and left but I thought that was mainly from moving. Ugh, I don't want to feel miserable again! Let us know what the blood test results say, okay? Thanks for the congrats and HI Betsy! > > I have had similar problems, and I am also on 30mgx3 daily. > I thought it was from finger surgery from a dog bite 2/3/09. > About 3/3/09 I started to have Hashimotos symptoms. Guest guest
Hi Sara! Good to hear from you again! I noticed my hair falling out before this whole move, several weeks ago. I thought maybe it was a spring thing but now I don't think so, not with the weight gain and extra crashing. Are your shoulder problems better? I sure hope so. I had so much pain in Missoula, it was ridiculous, like 24-7. Sad because it's beautiful there but also gray all winter, cold, and very very humid. I definitely have to live in a drier place but then I have to watch out for the heat intolerance. I am going to see if I can find a naturopath to investigate diet, nutrition and possible food allergies. I'm suspicious about milk and eggs now as well as the wheat/gluten thing. Let us know if your new 30 mg pills differ from your old ones okay? Take care! :-) > > You're back! Yay! Congrats on your New Mexico relocation - lucky you! Guest guest
Hi, Niki! I hope you will let us know what your lab test results look like as compared to last time. Thanks and hang in there. Don't you hate the hair falling out thing!? PS Who's your doc? > > Hi, ! > > My hair also started falling out again a couple of months ago, and I'm > really feeling crappy. I'm taking the 30's, too. Guest guest
The new 30 mg pills are definitely different than the old ones. I can testify to that. Guest guest
Hi , so good to hear from you! Wish I could do some input on this one, but can't. Don't understand why they even made these changes to the Armour product. Mine is mostly T4 along with the 30 mgs of Armour, but that's changing in the next couple of wks or so, something different to go with my T4, but similar. Gosh darnit, is this why my hair is falling out again??? > ARGH! Yet again I slipped with my ability to keep in touch with what's > going on on the Texas Thyroid Forum.
