Guest guest
Recently my friend learned that the home she has been renting is going through the foreclosure process, and they're not protected under new federal eviction/foreclosure laws because they've been renting from a relative. Eviction proceedings have been started last week, and it looks like they've only got approximately four more weeks before they are forced by the courts to vacate the property. Trying very hard to relocate within the school district they've had so much success for her son in -- PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN even a dollar or two adds up-- AND EVEN IF YOU CAN'T, PLEASE REPOST. THANKS SO MUCH!!! Rescue Angel/Autism Advocate Needs Your Help!!. Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 7:19am · http://autismfamilyrelocation.chipin.com/autism-family-relocation-expenses I am conducting this fundraiser for BJ, a dear friend of mine whom I met years ago when my child was first diagnosed with autism. She helped me through some dark early days, and continues to steer us in this journey. Now I'd like to repay the favor by asking for help for her family in a time of need This busy mom has volunteered her services to the autism community over the past eleven years by providing IEP consultation/educational advocacy at no charge to special needs families in land and Delaware as well as the online Facebook Autism community. In addition, she is a " Rescue Angel " for Generation Rescue and a parent mentor for other autism-related organizations, leading dozens of families who are seeking to learn about biomedical interventions for autism, as well as helping them navigate the maze of special education in the public school system. She is a divorced mother of three and unable to work outside of her home due to her son's complex medical needs. His diagnoses have included cerebral palsy, autism, apraxia, ADHD, ODD and most recently type-1 diabetes. The family lives on SSI income alone and receives no other assistance, not even child support. Recently this family learned that the home they have been renting is going through the foreclosure process. They are not protected under new federal eviction/foreclosure laws because they have been renting from a relative. Eviction proceedings have been started last week, and it looks like the family has approximately four more weeks before they will be forced by the courts to vacate the property they are renting. Although the mom has managed to set some money aside, there is just not enough " extra " after the existing household bills are paid to amount up to what she needs for security deposits and moving/storage expenses. Also, she is desperate to stay within her son's current school placement, after years of fighting with the school system, he is in a stellar program where he is prospering. Won't you please help this mom who has helped so many of us? THANKS!
Guest guest
I really hate to sound like a hard ass but I am not comfortable with people on here asking for money. We all struggle with our children and our finances. Perhaps she attends a church and could ask for help there. She may well have to leave her school district. We do what we have to do. I had to stay home with my child and my husband worked two jobs so we could put food on the table. Guest guest
I agree, but at the same time really appreciate wanting to give back. We really are the only people "we" have. Thank you. Guest guest
I'd prefer we didn't post asking for money, no matter how worthy the cause.
