Guest guest
Rant away! You certainly need to get this off your chest. I think your idea for the next hurricane is the way to go. One thing that came to my mind when I read your post is that children who witness abuse are also being abused. So, your nada is not only abusing you with her speach and behavior, she is also abusing your children. They shouldn't have to hear someone talk to their mother that way. If she doesn't respect the rules of your house, then she just shouldn't be there. Good luck in getting through Ivan as well, Sylvia > Just went through Hurricane Frances here in FL (we had a little > flooding but not in the house & the winds weren't too bad by the > time the eye passed over us, so we were blessed), but the worst is > that I have had to bring nada over to my house twice in the past > month because I wanted to keep her safe during this hurricane & > through Charlie. ............ Hi smami, I'm sure you are aware of this, but just in case, there are so many shelters set up all over Florida for people to get out of the way of the hurricane. My fada lives on one of the " barrier islands " they are almost always evacuated (mandatory evacuations) for hurricanes. For Charley, he stayed with my sister and her family. She stayed in her bedroom so she didn't have to deal with him, unfortunately, this meant her kids had to deal with him. I think it was really unfair of her to invite him over and cause her family even more stress than they would have had to deal with anyway, with a hurricane coming. He's too much to deal with even on a good day! )
