" Autism 101 " is a seminar and resource fair sponsored by the Autism Society of

America - Greater Georgia Chapter for families of newly diagnosed children with

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and those who work with them. The seminar

provides information that educates, enables and empowers these families as they

begin the journey of caring for, planning for, and treating their child.

Additionally, there is a resource fair for families to meet and interact with

local providers of autism related goods and services.

" Autism 101 " provides concise, down-to-earth information to help parents make

sense of it all. The seminar presenters answer many commonly asked questions

and gently guide parents through the myriad of medical and educational options,

social services, therapies, etc. The resource fair allows families to meet and

interact with local providers of autism related goods and services, thus

enabling them to expedite the coordination and implementation of treatment

options and services for their child.
