Guest guest
Yep. I agree with what you said about the various workouts. I was SO confused the first time I looked at their store. It's been simplified a bit now - until you own the Total Workout, you can't even see the advanced workouts. If you buy the book (cheap on Amazon), there's a DVD included with a couple of exercises, plus you can register for 30% off one workout. They also have a drawing 3 times a month, where they draw 10 names and the winners get a FREE workout (from a limited list) and can get another for 50% off. I was lucky enough to win the first time I signed up (on my birthday to boot!). They also have a lot of sales and promotions - there is no reason to ever pay the MSRP for workout in my experience. I wish I could go to that retreat. I'd love to meet people and hear Shomon and stay at that resort again. DH and I stayed there 4 years ago on an Expedia deal. A once-in-a-lifetime deal, I think it was. But I can't take off work at the beginning of the month. I've thought about going to Houston for one of 's workshops or classes. But by the time I drove there I'd be too tired to workout. Maybe one day I'll have enough energy - or maybe someone will come to San . > > Betsy or any other T-Tapper feel free to jump in on this. >
Guest guest
Hi Kim - Thanks for the great info... I really think I'm going to start doing this and trying it.. so you think the total workout is good? I'm not in super shape.. but I'm not morbidly obese either.. I can run/walk a few miles and I could stand to lose 30 lbs or so... How are you doing since you wrote this email? Any more success you want to share? muna Betsy or any other T-Tapper feel free to jump in on this. If you’re pretty physically fit, I would get the total workout. If you want a bit slower pace or have more to lose or not as physically fit, I would get “more”. If you only have 15 minutes the Basic Workout (just the beginning of the Total Workout) is a great place to start. You can also try the workout with Basic Workout and then add on the DVD for the Total Workout buy calling the office. I have taken before photos and measurements. I’m waiting until I’ve been doing the program for a month to see how many inches I’ve lost. So far I’ve been able to maintain my weight without doing Weight Watchers. I’ve started out just with the Basic Workout, Monday Wednesday & Friday. The first week I did it 4 days in a row, which is recommended. At this point, it doesn’t matter whether I lose inches or not. For a 15 minute investment 3 times a week, I just feel so much better. The inch loss will just be an added bonus. Also it is interesting to note that T-Tapp have an annual meeting/retreat. This year the keynote speaker is Shomon. There are quite a few hypothyroid folks on their forums. To get the most inch loss, form is really important. So it is great to have access to a T-Tapp certified trainer. There is a trainer that works out of Houston named Kirsten Tucker. She has classes weekly in Houston. She has Saturday clinics about once a month. Like this month it is July 11th but it doesn’t start until 12 noon. So I could drive down in the morning and attend the clinic go out for a late lunch and drive home. She also going to be in the Dallas/Ft Worth area September 12th. This is Kirsten’s website: http://www.boxofpolkadots.com/index.html The class on July 11th is T-Tapp fundamentals: http://forum.t-tapp.com/showthread.php?t=62195 Kim From: Texas_Thyroid_Groups [mailto:Texas_Thyroid_Groups ] On Behalf Of headhunter9561 Sent: Wednesday, July 01, 2009 8:45 PM To: Texas_Thyroid_Groups Subject: Re: Diabetes & exercise Kim, Great info! did you buy her video?
