Guest guest
Gum Disease Compromises General Health – Pregnancy, Diabetes and More Scientists have found that bacteria growing in the oral cavity can be inhaled into the lungs and may cause respiratory diseases such as pneumonia, especially in those with gum disease. Bacterial respiratory infections are believed to be caused by inhaling small droplets from the mouth and throat into the lungs. These droplets contain germs and bacteria that multiply within the lungs and cause damage. Recent research suggests that bacteria found in the mouth and throat can travel into the lower respiratory tract. This can cause infections or worsen existing lung conditions. http://www.bestsyndication.com/?q=node/27430 Alana
