Hi Carolyn

Just wanted to say hi, there are a few of us that are vaguely 'youngsters' on

this list, together with some older and much wiser people than myself, we all

seem to experience the same unfortunate things living with someone with BPD but

everyone is so so helpful and am sure you'll find it really reassuring and well

as a relief to find people here going through the same weird stuff as you.

I myself am 25 and have a mum (nada) with BPD and have been aware of it since i

was about 18/19 so i really understand how scary it is for you right now, my

nada too has made serious suicide attempts, which totally freaked me out as they

were dramatic to say the least, so i honestly do know what you're going through,

it's really pretty horrid to know that your own mother no longer wants to be

here but don't worry, post here as much or as little as you want, and be strong

and we'll all help you through it.

Welcome to ModOasis. I am sure there are many on this list that are

young adults (I am not! LOL!) However, I wanted to let you know that

posting on this list will be very helpful to you in learning about

BPD, learning how it affects the children of a parent with BPD, and

then learning how you can heal from those affects. It is a tragic

disorder that not only affects the person with it, but it greatly

affects the other people in the family as well. We are all here

because we realize how our BPD parent has detrimentally affected us,

and we are supporting each other as we work through our problems.
