And to give you all some words of encouragement. As most of you know I just finished in August my 3rd treatment (was a clinical trial using protease inhibitors along with the standard treatment). I am still feeling great. The only downside is that I have gotten so busy with life that I wear myself out sometimes. I am not 20 anymore, even tho I feel that way sometimes. I will find out my results shortly after my last appt in Feb,2011. But in my own mind I know it worked because of the way that I feel. And there have been changes for the better in my health. I was taking 100 units of insulin twice daily, as the trial went on my sugar levels began to get better and better. I then went on to taking metformin twice a day because the insulin was running my sugar way too low. (I started at first taking less and less before we started me on oral medication.) I now take my sugar to see if I even need to take the metformin because even it makes my sugar dip low. I decided on a career change as I didn't want to work as a nurse anymore. Why you ask, because I got my Hep C because of a needle stick. Not that I think that it would ever happen again but just really wanted a career change. Something with a easier pace. Although I love the medical field did not want to depart from it too far. I decided to become a Pharmacy tech. Because I still get to work with people. And it is right down my alley!! My long term goal is to work either at one of the local military bases or for the VA. Cause might as well take advantage for the great benefits that they offer. Anyway that is what is up with me. I haven't had this kind of enegry for a long time. I run circles around my husband.
