I have struggled with infertility for two years now (I'm also

older...almost 39) and started drinking K. Tea primarily to help me

get pg. In the meantime, after learning about so many benefits, I am

now drinking for other reasons too! :)

It is my understanding that the more alkaline our bodies are, the

better the chances of conceiving. Is this true?

Thanks in advance to all who answer.

Hello,

I don't know about alkalinity, but I have heard from other List members that

KT did help them get pregnant.

Does Kombucha cause the body to be more alkaline?

it is worth a try.

A friend of mine actually takes more vitamine C when she wants to get

pregnant. Have you tried that as well with the KT?

Do you know your reason for infertility, for example is it polycystic

ovarian syndrome? If so there is so much on the web about how to

overcome it and I am just wondering if you have tried that as well?

However, I bet KT would improve your chances, but you should also seek

out other things as well.

By the way, did you know that the reason expectant mothers get stretch marks

is due to a lack of Vitamin C?

Go to the Klenner section at www.doctoryourself.com

Kombucha helps you absorb vitamins, including Vitamin C. However, it would

be best to take it as vinegar because sugar is a similar molecule to Vitamin

C and when they compete to enter our cells, guess who wins?

Hi Jaqueline,

In one of my various books that actually happens to be a homebrewing book

there is a paragraph titled

" Mead, Honeymoons and Love "

Apparently Mead (aka Honeywine) developed quite a reputation in the old days

for it's ability to increase the chances of bearing *sons...*

This is apparently backed up by scientific experiments with *animals..* They

found that they can increase the chances of bearing females or males based

by altering the ph of the body one way or the other.

Blood sugar levels do affect ph, alcohol affects blood sugar, and of course

so does sugar.

So it seems that body ph has more to with determining the *gender *of the

newborn rather than fertility in general. It does'nt say what type of ph

encourages what gender or how drinking Mead affects the bodies ph, just that

it can help the chances of having a boy(s).

I believe that KT is alkalizing regarding it's affects on the body. But

this is disputed at times..

Lemons are alkalizing for example, they are acidic themselves, but they have

an alkalizing effect on the body, I think it's because they have a high

calcium content if I recall correctly.

There are likely some herbal preparations that might assist with your

fertility, but I am not aware of what they might be, with the crazy things

that happen with commercial fertility drugs (like having suptuplets) I

wouldn't go any further than herbs, and other natural treatments.

Minimizing stress, positive visualization and simply trusting that you will

become pregnant could be a good base for stimulating your fertility but this

is just a personal theory regarding manifestation of a desired

reality, woooh, deep I know, the body does respond to that sort of thing

though..

Take Care, Mom to be..

I had a spell of infertility, docs could find no reason for it from

testing. Wasn't until I started on a quality Vit E 2X a day and taking

folic acid that I started having baby after baby :) KT should sure help!!

Also wonder if a natural progesterone cream might help as well, good stuff.

Must be in the ferment.

I've heard that beer works too.

But,all seriousness aside;

Akalinity enables many bodily processes to function normally.

But there is some confusion re: KT and alkalinity.

KT Is acidic but does NOt lead to acidity in the body.

But it is NOT alkalining either.

IT IS NEUTRAL.

However, it is an adaptogen so will lower stress reactions and perhaps

lead the body to a healthier state and nudge you toward alkalizing diet, such

as more raw fruits and vegetables.

If that were the case, then Siberian Ginseng would have the same effect

because it too is an adaptogen.

I don't the fact that KT is an adaptogen is the answer. KT has a known

beneficial effect on the glandular system.

Traditional cultures used to understand that you must improve your diet to

be fertile and have healthy children; those who drink KT and take other

measures are coming back to that realization.
