Just an interesting story.... My daughter was adopted from China at 13

months. In the year before I got her Congress here in the US passed a

imigrant law that required all new imigrants to the US to have all their

imunizations and boosters before entering the US.

In theory it sounds good, they did not want some of the diseases entering

the US. HOWEVER, Most of these little babies had not has their shots, or if

they did we have no way to know if the vaccines where properly stored and/or

administered, expired ect... in fact we know there was alot of needle

sharing going on and alot of these kids now have Hep B!

If there was any doubt we had to have them revaccinated the day before

getting on the plane to fly home.... up to 10 shots and then on an airplane

for 14+ hours with nowhere to land if they suddenly got sick, spiked a fever

ect.

So a bunch of us parents got togather and with all the experts saying it

could not be done got a new law passed exempting our kids until they got her

on US soil. However it was too late for my daughter. The orphanage had given

her all her shots. I find it totaly fasinating that I got this law passed

and now MY kid is Autistic! Can't win for losing huh!

Laurie

PS I don't know how many people I have run into that say its really strange

that she is Autistic since there is no autism over there......
