I'm not sure what you mean by charlie horse, but I get severe leg and

foot cramping, usually at night. Wakes me up, the pain is so bad. My

G.I. Doc proscribed " Qualaquin " (quinine sulfate), which comes in

tablets and gel cap. I take 2 as needed, which is probably 3-4 times a

week. They work within minutes for me, though I still have to stand up

and try to stretch my muscles for awhile.

the hot tub,, but I never had actual 'spasms', other than an occasional

charley horse kind,, and that was bad enough!

I have had a spasm on the left side of my back since last night and for the first time in over A year I took an oxycodone . This one hurts like the dickons

Question

Has anybody taken the muscle relaxers Skelaxin,Flexeril or Robaxin? I was wondering if they were ok to take.

Tx,

Steve

Thanks for input ladies, I guess I'll try the flexeril, it doesn't seem to be too bad on the liver from what I read. Peace out, and Happy New Year!!! Steveelizabethnv1 wrote: I don't know of any muscle relaxers that are good for the liver Sheena , as a matter of fact almost every medication given now days effects the liver . But if you need that medication then you have to take it . As long as the meds are taken as prescribed and you

are followed up by a physician who does blood work to make sure your liver enzymes don't go to the roof then take em ... A lot of us hep c patients who have been sick for a long time get allot of secondary problems due to the hep like osteoporosis , degenerative disc disease , neuropathy , etc so meds are needed to control muscle spasms and or the pain . Well, as the old adage goes: Without any bad luck, we wouln't have

any luck at all! Sometimes we have to sit back and be humored by our

maladies. But, the Red Cross??? Now, that's some really bad luck. At

least it seems like we're all keeping up the good fight against the

Dragon. I can't treat again as I have " sarcoidosis " , speaking of

luck! Was sort of looking forward to the new TX-950 add on. Oh well,

I'm well humored too, lol!

Per my Docs, sarcoidosis often dissapates on it's own, then hcv tx is

a possiblility. It's a Catch 22 deal. Treat sarcoidosis, makes hcv

worse; treat hcv worsens sarcoidosis. Sounds like you have someone

looking after you, with 5 year svr! Keep them very close! You're

doing great!
