Wakes me up, the pain is so bad. My G.I. Doc proscribed " Qualaquin " (quinine sulfate), which comes in tablets and gel cap. I take 2 as needed, which is probably 3-4 times a week. As long as the meds are taken as prescribed and you are followed up by a physician who does blood work to make sure your liver enzymes don't go to the roof then take em ... A lot of us hep c patients who have been sick for a long time get allot of secondary problems due to the hep like osteoporosis , degenerative disc disease , neuropathy , etc so meds are needed to control muscle spasms and or the pain . So I wonder if that means I could never treat again if I relapsed,, its been almost 5 years SVR so I hope that never happens! Treat sarcoidosis, makes hcv worse; treat hcv worsens sarcoidosis. Sounds like you have someone looking after you, with 5 year svr! Keep them very close!
