Guest guest
Hi,I am interviewing candidates for a part-time billing position. Since I have done any billing myself, would you please help me with what specific questions I should ask the candidates to really see if they know the real deal?An experienced biller at another local Fam Med clinic is willing to have lunch and share some of her experience/ "pearls". What questions should I ask her? Would you pay the biller the same salary if they do the work for you at their house (internet connection) instead of coming in to the clinic?Thank you very much.Helen Windows 7: I wanted more reliable, now it's more reliable. Guest guest
Helen, I would give her some de-identified chart notes to code and see if she comes up with the same coding that you do. Ask her what her collection A/R is at 30, 60, 90, 120 days in her other job. How often does she have to send someone to collections? I would pay the biller the same if they did it from home instead of coming in.
