Guest guest
Hi everyone, I wrote a long time ago that I was wondering how long it would take for your hair to grow back after treatment. Well, I stopped treatment on February 1st and it's not thickening up or curling anymore. I used to have VERY thick and curly hair, and now it's straight and thin. I have gotten it cut numerous times since February, trying to get it short so the new hair can grow back in. But my stylist told me that she sees no hair growing in (short hairs). So I'm just wondering how long it will take for this to happen. Perhaps this is a vain question, but I'm starting to get discouraged and it's not wanting me to do tx again cuz I think I'll lose ALL my hair. It's been 5 months post-treatment now and I would think I'd have SOME new growth but nothing. Thanks in advance, Take care everyone, Barb
Guest guest
It took months for me to get my hair back and then it was without body. Getting the body back took several years. I thought I was going to have to live with the changed hair forever. I don't know if this is typical, just my experience and now I have the same hair I had before treatment. Guest guest
Hi Barb, I think everyone is different. I lost my hair and it grew back within a few months and it was thicker then before treatment. Give it more time. Guest guest
I lost most of my hair, but after treatment it grew in much thicker than when I started. I may take awhile for all the drugs get cleard out of your system. Lots and lots of water to help your body to clean. Steph

Guest guest
Hi, I just wanted to thank you all for your responses to my "hair" question. Clearly, I'm finding, that it's very individualized so I'll just have to wait and see what happens...I keep getting it cut shorter and shorter hoping that it will look fuller....it might but there's absolutely NO CURL to it and before it looked like I had a full perm but did not. Anyway, again, thank you for all of your input, at least I know I'm not alone and that helps.Take care everyone,BarbTo: Hepatitis_C_Central From: thestephanier@...Date: Thu, 30 Jun 2011 09:53:02 -0700Subject: Re: Hair loss and treatment I lost most of my hair, but after treatment it grew in much thicker than when I started. Guest guest
I was the curl queen, I went through treatment 3 times, all three times I lost lots of hair. Never was bald but really, really thin. Each time My hair, my beautiful hair went straight as a board. I found that after about 6 months if I cut it short, my curl came back, but never as curly as it was before. This time I haven't cut it really short, lots of treatmemt hair still around. About 4 inches. It is not as thick as it was, but I have hair. LOL I ended treatment last fall, and still got my treatment hair. I am thinking of cutting really short to see what happens. I will let you know. Guest guest
My hair thinned out and went totally straight from treatment too. My hair wasn't too healthy for a while before that anyway probably from the cirrhosis before my transplant. My hair is now thick and curly like it was when I was a kid, and I have to get it thinned out when I get it cut. It took 6 to 8 months after finishing treatment for my hair to get thick and curly again. Penny > > I was the curl queen, I went through treatment 3 times, all three times I lost lots of hair. Guest guest
I was only on treatment for four months before I had to stop. But I lost a lot of hair and mine also went straight. It took about six months, but all of my hair grew back like it was before, except for my underarm hair. It's a year and a half and I still have no underarm hair. But I am certainly not complaining about that! Deborah > > Hi everyone, > > I wrote a long time ago that I was wondering how long it would take for your hair to grow back after treatment. Guest guest
Yeah, my underarm hair hardly came back either, just a little peach fuzz, and very little hair on my legs too. Isn't that weird? I love that, though! Penny > > > > Hi everyone, > > > > I wrote a long time ago that I was wondering how long it would take for your hair to grow back after treatment.
