I just called my friend who has a child with autism. She and I get along great as we both understand what it is like. She had mentioned to me about how it upset her when the mom of her son's friend said she didn't like him and he wasn't welcome at her house anymore. Rude? Yes! Unless you have walked a mile in our shoes you think that an autistic child is out of control. Then she said "you think what your daughter did was bad, then told me about something her boys had done, (long story that had to do with the computer.) I am usually embarrassed if she comes over and my house is a mess and she always says she understands and so on. But then she commented to me about when my kids broke my table among other things and how I need to teach them, blah blah blah. She said I shouldn't be having another one but I am. My youngest was screaming in the backround and she said that that doesn't happen in her house. I suspect she is drinking because she has never talked to me like this before, I don't even want to talk to her again. I have 4 kids, three with autism who are very sensory. Yes they fight and scream a lot, my 2 younger ones are speech delayed so there is frustration when they can't get out what they to say. Why is she suddenly telling me just how bad I am controlling things in my house. I do not give unwarranted advice unless asked of me. I am really upset right now. I feel like she is being judgemental.
