Guest guest
and : I did not have Dr. K do my plastic surgery because I lived so far away and he agreed. But, here is some information from my experience. asked about the tight fitting garment ~ After my TT and brachioplasty I was fitted in a crotchless tight garment that cost around $50.00 and that was sent directly to my plastic surgeon so it could be put on directly after surgery. I do not remember any pain from my TT and brachioplasty but I was on Dilaudid which must have done its job. I DO remember intense pain from an abrasion on my bottom from the compression garment. I got an infection on my TT incision and had to go to an Infectious Disease doc. He cut away the tissue without any pain killers and it DID NOT hurt at all. I showed him my abrasion and he said it was from the compression garment and to stop wearing it. And, so I did. I used my binder, which worked perfectly well. The only pain I remember at all was from that abrasion. I know that I refilled the Dilaudid a couple times so it must have hurt enough for that. Pearl and I had surgery at the same time and she and I talked on the phone every day or so. She may have some good advice, too. I would gladly sell that garment if anyone is interested. I only wore it for about three days and it has been laundered, of course. I had to stay about three days and keep getting checked. I was about 100 miles away and so I stayed in a hotel. Prices from my Bellevue, WA plastic surgeon: Extended abdominalplasty and brachioplasty including anesthetic was $15,000. No insurance coverage for PS. My thigh lift was $6,100. Still more needs to be done on legs but I spent all my cash already so that isn't happening unless I start playing and then win the lottery. Anyway, that is my story.
