Red cast gone

Update on my fall injuries. I got my pretty red cast off yesterday. Replaced by a ugly black brace for the next three weeks at least. The doc said he was impressed with how fast I had healed. Women my age, over 70, usually take a little longer, he said. So guess I am doing right with my supps. It is still a little swollen and doesn't bend very well. But it has been in a cast for three weeks. I have to take it out of the brace and exercise it, after soaking it in hot water, three times a day. So I am okay with all that. Nose is still sore, in spite of the doc going up inside and "popping" the one side back in place. Still sore above my brows, but my black and blue eyes and cheek bones is all gone. Ribs are still sore, as is knee. I hope that clears up enough for me to dance, as my line dancing classes start tomorrow, and I am going. I am ready to get out of this house and do something.

I am just so glad that I take the supplements that have kept my bones hard. That fall was HARD and I am so fortunate not to have broken my hip. I will make sure to continue to take things to keep my bones hard. I have fell so many times and I know people who have taken much less serious falls and broken their hips or pelvis or legs or such and I am telling people who are not WL people, but are over 40 to start taking calcium and Vit D and such. I am becoming a bore about that. But for those of you not doing it. DO IT. Someday you will be my age and be so glad you did when you fall, and you will.

End of story and off my soap box. Pearl

Pearl I'm so happy to hear you are healing well! Have fun at dance

classes...gotta love exercising in such a fun way!

I also wanted to comment on what you wrote about taking your vitamins. YOU

PREACH IT GIRL! I especially liked the part where you said " Someday you will be

my age and be so glad you did when you fall, and you will. "

Those are TRUE-WISE words...We WILL age and someday, at some point we WILL fall!

Pearl...you are a gal who can take a Lickin and keep on Tickin! And I love ya

for it!!!!
