It sounds like you have a strong desire to succeed without him and you will find someone else to cuddle with. When my divorce was final in 1998, I also didn't find out till later in the month by accident from my ex. He assumed I knew. I called my attorney and balled them out. I felt they should have told me verbally at least right away. Turns out the final papers were filed away so who knows if when I would have found out if my ex didn't tell me. I certainly didn't like the way they worked. Anyways, keep your chin up and enjoy life.
