Hi,

I get mine through The Coral Connection,

and I am very happy with the quality.

You can check it out online at

http://www.coralconnection.net

It is a network marketing company, so

if you decide to get it from there, I'd

of course appreciate it if you'd use my

member number which is 333006968.

(I hope it's OK to mention that?)

I am sure there are lots of other places

to get it, but I do like this. It comes in

little tiny sachets that you drop into

your water, and one package lasts you

about a month.

Coral calcium

To list: I've seen references to coral calcium on this forum but never looked

into it.I just saw a lengthy TV interview with Barefoot (which was

actually a commercial) a researcher who seems to be very knowledgeable.

According to Barefoot, coral calcium plus 2 hours of sunlight each day can heal

just about Anything including Parkinson's and all manner of ills. Can anyone

here

tell me something about coral calcium and if you recommend it, where is the best

place online to order it? Thanks, dorothy

Dorothy, ( & Lona)

Ordinarily Donna Crow, member of this list, would share with you her knowledge

on Coral Calcium. But her mother passed away yesterday. So instead I will

paste in an email from her which she wrote to someone else on the benefits of

the product. Also, the best place to order it is from her. Best price around,

at ruthful@... . I use the product myself and appreciate its quality and

benefits. Here follows 2 posts from Donna on the product that will hopefully

give you lots of info and maybe address any questions you may have about it's

source, and 1 from Kallie with more helpful info. Best wishes, Deanna

+++++++++++++

My personal experience is that there is an enormous difference between regular

calcium carbonate and coral calcium. I used to take calcium carbonate by KAL

and a few other companies. And my fingernails were almost clear. I suddenly

became ill with CFS and went to an emergency room and they said they could not

find anything wrong with me except that I was really low on calcium. I was

taking the full recommended dosage each day. (In spite of the fact that they

could not find anything wrong with me I spent the next several months literally

fighting for my life, totally bed fast.)

That was about 14 years ago and I spent many years after that trying to

find a calcium that my body would accept. I was unable to get enough from my

food because dairy turned me into a mucous factory. So I tried every calcium on

the market at that time and the best thing I could come up with was my own mix

from many sources, orotate, gluconate, lactate, phosphate. And then I did

magnesium orotate. But I had alot of stress in my solar plexis and spine and

had alot of heart palpitations and many other symptoms of low calcium which

were only relieved a tiny bit by any calciium product I tried.

Then a few years ago Gail, (from this list) who I met shortly after I got

sick (who was also quite ill) sent me a tape on coral calcium. I was not very

optimistic about it because someone had sent me some coral calcium in tea bag

form and I had tried it and felt no benefit and some negative sensation. But

since I love Gail, I chose to listen to the tape out of repect for her. And it

was very inspiring, but I thought, either it just doesn't work for me, or the

kind she is using is very different. So then she helped me get a bottle and I

opened one capsule and put it in my mouth, and within seconds, I was in heaven.

I immediately had no chest stress and my heart stopped pounding and I have been

free of those symptoms ever since. I began to be able to ride in a car again

without feeling like I was going to completely pass out.

I just cannot even tell you how miraculous this product has been for

me. I love it. And I am sure my experience is extreme. But I get reports back

from others who say things like, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I feel calm.

Etc. It is one of my best selling products, because it really does help

people in a way that they can notice. Out of one hundred people, I would say

only one or two have said they didn't notice much. That is rare.

From what Dr. Barefoot says about it, tho it is a carbonate, it is in

ionic form, which is what occurs in the blood stream and so it is highly

compatible with the body and is well used. It also has magnesium and all the

trace minerals we need, so it is a whole mineral product. I talked to a Dr.

friend of Dr. Barefoot. Dr. Barefoot is not an MD. But this Dr. Dr. Holt is

an MD who is into natural remedies and has written some book. He told me

something along the lines of, " frankly, we don't know exactly why it works so

well, but the testimonies coming back from it, just can't be ignored. " Not an

exact quote. Dr. Barefoot has an amazing " calcium for health " history and is

pro calcium in general. But it is his belief that coral calcium is the best

there is.

He is actually considered one of the top few mineral experts in the world, and

used to work for the government in that capacity. Now he is on a mission to see

people healed of everything that ails them and it is his belief that calcium is

the answer.

This list and Dr. Saul's list is focused on oxygen as the answer to all

disease. And it is Dr. B's belief that low calcium leads to high acid, which

drives oxygen out of the body. So, theoretically, if you have adequate calcium

levels you will have a ph that increases oxygen in the system and disease will

leave. And indeed, he has seen many " miraculous " cures of cancer and ms and

lyme and lupus, etc. from nothing more than coral calcium supplementation with

Vit d added.

I have definitely seen continual radical increases in my health since being

on it, but I am not totally well yet. Very close.

On the expense. I would pay twice what it goes for, for the benefit that

I receive. Three times, if I had to. But my philosophy is that health should

be affordable and so that is why I discount my products the most I can and still

make a few dollars. Reg retail on Dr. B's coral is $35 and I offer it for $26.

One of the reasons it is pricey is because it is rare. Although coral is not

rare, clean, unpolluted coral that is taken in an enviromentally sustaining

fashion, is rare. This coral comes from the Japanese government who uses divers

to clean up the coral reefs and keep them healthy. And it comes from a bay that

is not polluted. As far as I know it is the only place in the world where the

coral reefs are not exposed to industrial toxins.

Hope this helps.

Hi Folks. I am sending this communication hesitantly. This was information

that was dictated to me over the phone by someone who prefers to remain

anonymous. And that is why I hesitate to send it. This person is not an

internet person and does not participate in groups and does not wish to be

involved in long debates on this subject. They are an MD and coral researcher

and published author. When I sent Dr. Ben-phs comments to this person

asking for answers they did not want to respond because they thought it was

silly. I, however, told them that on the contrary, if there was no discussion

then people would only have one opinion. So he called Dr. Barefoot and some

others and to make sure of his position and then he called me and said all this

that I quickly typed. He told me many other things that I cannot share that

involve behind the scenes info and lawsuits. But this, I have permission to

share and so I am and then you all can decide what seems real to you.

I am comfortable with Barefoots character. I am confident that he is an

honest man with no intention to rape the enviroment. I am also certain of the

quality of his product and so I am going to stick with it unless I find out

different in the future. At which point I would share what I learned.

I really, really, really don't want to get into a coral war here. And since

this MD is not willing to get into an extended conversation about things that he

considers " mumbo jumbo " , all I can offer are these comments and you can decide

from there what you think is real.

Donna

--------------------------------

Dear Coleagues,

It is my intention to respond to some of the statements made by Dr. Eliezer Ben

ph and others that have recently come to the attention of people who have an

interest in oxygen therapies. Whilst I have done a great deal of research,

including speaking to practicing medical Drs, representatives from the health

care industry, and Mr. Barefoot, the following information has been related to

me from reliable sources.

There is a considerable amount of marketing mumbo jumbo out ther when it comes

to coral. Perhaps the most important issue is to dispell the myth that coral

in tea bags can be used as a significant remedy of natural origin. Coral tea

bags are not consumed in Eastern Asia and have never been subjected to any

formal research studies. The most misleading issue is that coral in tea bags

apparently alters the ph and oxidation reduction potential of water whilst

indeed coral does this, it does it over a period of many hours when merely

placed in water. Only about one or two percent of coral dissolves in water over

a six hour period. Therefore, it is absurd to believe that the full nutrient

benefit of coral can be delivered in coral water produced by a tea bag,

containing coral. The most misleading event is that manufactures of coral tea

bags add sodium bicarbonate or other alkaline materials to the tea bag. Perhaps

many people would be better served to buy baking soda? I am not suggesting that

tea bags are without value they were orignally produced in Scandinavia to purify

water, in particular to remove chlorine. Experts believe that the beneficial

health effects of tea bag coral is due to the fact that people using coral tea

bags not only drink coral water but eat the contents of the tea bag. Weight for

weight coral tea bags are an extremely expensive source of coral of variable

quality. Therefore, among more credible scientist the obvioius way to take

coral is whole coral, not tea bags.

I was shocked by recent rhetoric concerning the damaging of coral reefs.

Strictly speaking all coral that is not part of the living reef is fossilized.

Marine coral is removed from the waters of Okinawa with extreme caution and

great ecological safety, contrary to recent assertions by other people. In

fact, the Japanese government approves certain forms of coral as food grade and

actively police the collection process. All dredging and coral removeall is

done under strict quality control for most forms of commercially available coral

calcium.

It is absurd to suggest that underwater coral is more contaminated than above

water coral. The waters from which coral is collected are pristine and the

coral is tested for micro organisms and all known chemical polutants.

Therefore, a concumer of coral needs to know that the coral that they are taking

is food grade and specifically approved by the Japanese government. My research

tells me that the only company supplying this form of coral, to my knowledge, is

Nature's Benefit Inc, in New Jersey that directly imports the coral from Japan.

Coral from beneath the ocean contains more magnesium than regular land based

coral calcium. I must admit that I can find no evidence that the health benefit

is greater from land or sea coral, but one would expect it to be so because of

the better nutrient profile of marine coral.

It is unfortunate that Mr. Barefoot continues to be misquoted by the pundits.

Coral is sterilized by heat and most other forms of sterilzation materially

effect the naturally chelated form of minerals within coral. It is not live

organisms that people think may be valuable but the remnants of dead organisms.

In fact, Bio pharmaceutical textbooks mention extracts of coral having

anti-cancer and anti-biotic effects among other benefits.

I stress that there are no reports of dredging reefs that have caused damage in

Okinawa

It is extremely misleading for people to say that Barefoot recommended two or

three grams of cesium daily. No such product exists in the market and this

dose of cesium would be dangerous according to medical experts. Furthermore, Mr

Andy Bowers of, Coral Inc. Does not make Barefoots coral and does not add

cesium to his product.

If people can read between the lines of the propaganda, then they would see that

there is no reason to ingage in offensive dialogue. There are only two credible

sources of information on coral calcium in western literature. The first was

written by Barefoot, called Barefoot on Coral Calcium available from

wellness publishing at 1-. The second book was written by Bruce

Halstead, called Fossilized coral, available from BruceHalstead.com

There is no doubt that experts have conflicting opinions, but it would serve

everybody's purpose to read one of these books, so that they can receive

information that permits them to make an informed judgement. It is not the

purpose of my communication to sell a specific product, but what appears to be

most important is the results obtained from the product. I can testify that

there have been many beneficial reports with the use of Dr. Barefoot's Coral

Calcium, or Marine Coral Minerals.

While there is no concensus of opinon on ,many issues related to coral and

health, it is becoming increasingly clear that this valulabe dietary supplement

is waiting to be discovered by conventional medicine. On balance, solid coral

taken in convenient capsules is the best way to take coral and consumers must be

assured that the quality that they receive is food grade. Furthermore, I wish

to indiciate that experst see no problem and much benefit by adjusting calcum

and magnesium contents of coral especially to the ideal range of two to one to

attempt to meet required daily mineral intakes. Perhaps surprising to most

people is that coral calcium unless taken in very large amounts does not provide

the recommended daily intake of calcium. This has nothing to do with coral

calcium having any limitation. It is merely a fact that people have

misunderstood because of the use of the term coral CALCIUM. Perhaps what we

understand to be coral calcium, is better called marine coral minerals, because

the benefits of coral calcium go far beyond its calcium content only. In this

regard, Mr. Barefoots earlier book called The Calcium Factor may have lead

people to believe that the benefits of coral calcium are merrely due to it " s

calcium content. Mr. Barefoot has repeatedly applogized for this

misrepresentation of his work and he has stressed the importance of the wide

ranging mineral content of coral which occurs as a bio synthesis in the ocean.

I encourage people to ignore the rhetoric and ignore the mumbo jumbo.

The most credible scientists who deal with coral continue to scratch their heads

and wonder how it works? I add there is now a suggestion that it works as a

consequence of contents other than minerals. The fascinating discovery of this

marine miracle requires much further research.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Barefoot suggests in his book " The Calcium Factor " that you take your

cal/mag/vit d/ with apple juice (malic acid) or milk for the absorption of

calcium. Sunshine is also important. Dr. Mercola had some great

information on Vit. D recently in his newsletter. You can do a search of

his web site for the article

Coral Calcium

Deanna, Thanks for sending the posts about Coral Calcium. Since the Dr. who

spoke about it says that it does not supply the necessary daily amount of

calcium do people who take it also take other calcium? Do you have Donna's web

site address? Thanks, ...

,

Others may speak further on their personal calcium uses. I use Dr Barefoot's

predominately, and sometimes add Flora's liquid calcium formula, but my case is

perhaps the exception to the norm, as I am dealing with a difficulty in

assimilating calcium. Adding MSM a few months ago allowed me to tolerate a

larger dose without severe complications, and I believe I am no longer getting

shorter. I have not measured recently, that's just an intuitive sense because I

don't feel as fragile

as I used to, am no longer breaking bones and no longer have a conscious

awareness of being careful with my bones. The thing to remember I think, and

please remember that I am a novice

at these things, is to take it in a manner that is well balanced with other

important needed minerals, sunshine and a good diet. With all components

faithfully addressed the body seems able to assimilate and utilize what it

needs. But it can be a rather perplexing route getting there for some

of us. Good people who share their knowledge, such as Donna and those on this

list, have been for me the difference between life and living death.

Donna was working on getting her website up for us, but several months ago

redirected her focus to the care of her mother.

Best to you,

Deanna

Larry, they sell their coral calcium for $40 per bottle unless you join their

Freinds and Family Plan which gives one 15 months of product and thereafter the

cost is $15 per month. The F & F Plan is $299 front money. They did indicate

this morning that they sell it by the kilo but that it doesn't have the minerals

yet so it isn't for human consumption. Obie.

Coral Calcium

Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2002 19:03:28 -0500

Well, I hesitate to inch my way into the conversations which seem to

explode

upon me as I receive posts from oxyplus lately but, personally, this

calcium

issue is troubling to me. This morning I was able to see why. It's

because

I see in my mind that an organic substance was, in it's prior life,

unassumedly dwelling within the parameters of its environment and was,

unbeknownst to it, slowly sucked up into the thready material of a collard

plant which I just had for supper last night. Presently, I refer to that

particular part of that plant collard plant as organic calcium.

The other types of calcium, chemical--which is made in a laboratory--and I

don't know the correct term for the type which comes from shells, etc, are

substances which I don't want to put into my body. I mean, there are

people

who are grinding up limestone rock near Austin, putting that into capsules

and selling that as calcium, for Pete's sake. I think of coral calcium as

what it once was, what it was before they harvested it and it stills

sounds

very very shelly. It's not that I see that I'm hurting the earth or

adding

to the endangerment of some species. It's that I see I'm putting

something

inorganic into my body.

So whether it's a horn [i know these are not calcium, just trying to

communicate] a horn or a hoof or a shell or a house a little creature in

the

sea no longer needs, I don't think I should be using that for my own

health

needs. In addition, when I spoke with one company this morning--I was

furnished a telephone number which I called--the lady specifically said

the

the bulk Coral Calcium that they sell in kilo amounts " ...does not have

the

minerals in it yet so it's not for human consumption " .

You should have see me on the other end of the line; didn't say a word,

though. I mean, please, I'm trying to put two and two together and that.

..

. . . .

Why is it so difficult to find an organic calcium that is plant derived?

Yes, some things frustrate me; especially when I've been running up and

down

these stairs for 3 months--which my muscles and tendons have adjusted to

Hi Dr. B-J. Here is the quote:

I have even used it in some coffee (God forbid) to take

away the bitterness.

I guess I misunderstood. You must have meant the coral took away the bitterness

of the coffee instead of the coffee taking away the bitterness of the coral.

Which is how I understood it. Sorry

Let me join in here on the coral discussion. First, I don't think I ever

mentioned that the coral I sell is bitter. It melts on your tongue, has no taste

I read on a site (unfortunately don't have the link unless I refind it) that

coral calcium can cause die-off in certain individuals. A member of another

list got big brain-fog with coral calcium. Not to dampen the enthusiasm

about it, but just for consideration-- J.
