Are you using an antifungal with it? Is your child had any diet changes

and what does he eat?

It is probably increasing yeast in your childs body. Is this your DAN

doctor that prescribed it? Our son had PFAPA and it went away as soon

as we did the the diet changes with him. Check out the diet on Stans

site that he used with Ethan along with the antiviral/antifungal

(valtrex) treatment. We originally did the diet with our twins with

autism. It totally helped our twins lose their autism and the diet

helped our other sons too.

The antiviral treatment works but other things need to be under control

too. Getting your child off milk will help with the inner ear stuff

too and sound sensitivity.

Good luck

I have to agree with ...sounds like yeast/fungus to me!!! It

was the first thing that we treated with Ian. He was an insane maniac

until we treated for yeast.

, I am shocked someone responded with PFAPA! Who was your doctor for the PFAPA? We just recently received the results for all the genetic fever syndromes. Everything was negative. We do not have a DAN doctor yet, we have been doing the treatment through Dr. Morton at the neurosensory center. Who did you work with? We have had the fevers every 4-6 wk, enlarged tonsils, ulcers.. Did your son have similar/typical pfapa symptoms. Also, what were other symptoms? Sorry so many questions, just amazed with the pfapa. We have actually considered a T & A for the fevers but would rather do something non-invasive. He has fevered since 3 months.

Thanks

Our son is extremely hyperaccoustic (hears like a wild dog I swear)

and sensitive. The antivirals made this issue MUCH worse for about

6-8 weeks. He has been on it for 5 months now and we have 3 more

weeks. He has peaks and valleys of being oversensitive and then we

see improvement. Our Dr. tells us it is the viruses releasing from

the nerves so they are active and in the die-off period and it

causes sensory issues and all developmental issues for that matter,

to be much worse. It's a process. I can't wait to get my kid off

of it.
