Guest guest
2011 Families with ASD's Autism Friendly Breakfast with Santa! Who? ANY Family living with Autism When? Saturday, December 17th, time slots starting at 8a.m. and running through 1p.m. Where? The Autism Family Resource Center: 5989 Meijer Drive Suite #9, Milford, OH 45150. How? It is FREE. All you have to do is RSVP by calling . Please leave your family name, number attending (including number of children/adults with autism and their siblings so Santa can have a present for everyone), and a phone number so one of our Families with ASD Volunteers can call you back and confirm the time frame your family is registered to attend. Why? Because Families with ASD cares. Families with ASD Founders have a 16 year old with autism, and it is because of Luke, that Families with ASD was even created. Most of our ASD Volunteers and ASD Board Members have a family member with autism. 100% of our ASD Board volunteers our time to the ASD group. Families with ASD has NO paid staff. We work all year to fundraise so we can offer families FREE events. We live with autism so we understand the walk your family is making. Our Families with ASD Mission is To form a network of families touched by ASD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, for support, education, and to promote awareness and understanding. Please visit our websites to learn more about Families with ASD: www.familieswithasd.org , www.helpingfamilieswithautism.com . We love Helping Families with Autism. Families with ASD is proud to offer our 7th Annual Autism Friendly Breakfast with Santa! We have 6 different time frames for families to sign up for. This way there will only be 30 people at a time at the workshop, so families will have a better chance to meet with Santa. You pick the time that best fits your family. Families will arrive at their registered time. Sign-in, and then go visit our wonderful Sensitive Santa ( on has been doing a fabulous job for the past 6 years, and has agreed to volunteer his services again this year!). After your child visits Santa and you have your family Photo Opportunity (you are welcome to bring your cameras and video cameras) with him, you and your family will be allowed to go into Santa's Workshop. There your family member with autism and ALL their siblings will be allowed to pick out one toy each from Santa's wonderful Workshop! After each child/adult with autism and their siblings receive their free toy from Santa, then your family will leave the Workshop and will be able to help yourself to our FREE breakfast/ brunch: Items will include: Coffee/ Juices/ Milk/ Donuts, Bagels, Muffins, Fruit, and Gluten Free Brownies, Gluten Free Cookies, and Gluten Free Muffins. Each group will have 30 mins to complete the Workshop and then the next group will be coming in. We have to give Santa 15 minute breaks in between groups, so he can call the North Pole for updates from his Elves! Currently, we have 7 times to choose from with a maximum of 30 people total (adults included) for each time frame. If you want to come with another family, then please only have one family call to schedule the time so that you are both assigned in the same time frame. 8:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. 8:45 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. 9:30 a.m.- 10:00 a.m. 10:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. 11:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. 11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 12:30 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. ( This time frame is reserved for children who are overly sensitive to large crowds/noises. We will limit the number of people to only 15 to help with the crowd). If you would like to make a donation to Families with ASD and help us continue our mission to Helping Families with Autism you can go to www.helpingfamilieswithautism.com and click Make a Donation!
