:

As far as sprouting quinoa, yes you are doing it correctly. The first time I

sprouted quinoa I thought I did something wrong because I didn't like the way it

smelled. I sprouted it about 3 times after that but I don't like the smell of

sprouted quinoa. So I just cook it.

lol

Now about your facebook page. It would not grant me access. So find me on

Facebook. I think I am the only " SPROUTLADY MELODY " on Facebook, so find me,

add me as a friend and I'll confirm.

See you around the facebook internet.

Well, it was a wonderful idea, but I struck out... UNFI does not have a

way to look up buying clubs in my area. I'm back to square one: no idea

how to find a co-op/buying club in my area. Anyone have some tips to

help me?

, I checked out my buying club info, and it turns out that even though you

have a UNFI near you, it does not serve buying clubs in Texas! They have lists

for so many cities from east to west, not in the south. :( I have looked in

Google for you, and there are a lot of " produce " buying clubs where you are, but

I haven't found one in which you can get all the grain, seeds, grocery goods in

your area. There just has to be some around you. I would suggest you look up

naturopathic doctors, chiropractors, and midwives in your area and ask them if

they know of any natural foods buying clubs. There is the Denton Organic

Society, just outside of Dallas, and they should know what co-ops or buying

clubs may be near you. Their web address is.. http://www.gisbert.haefs.com/

Also, go to some health food stores and ask if there is an active vegetarian

society there. It would be tacky to ask the health food stores for info on a

co-op, but they would be happy to refer you to a veggie society, or even a yoga

exercise teacher. Then the society or teacher can give you all the info you need

on possible buying club/co-ops. That's how I have found things I needed.

I'll keep searching for you! Let us know if you found anything!

Barb,

You're very sweet to keep looking for me! I also thought it would be

rather crude to ask the health food store proprietor about buying clubs,

but I may try and encourage them to accept food stamps. Worth a shot!

I think I may have found something

though:http://www.localharvest.org/search.jsp?map=1 & lat=32.948208 & lon=-9\

We have a few places around here that produce raw milk and grass fed

beef. (check out the Miniature Hereford at Falster Farm, too cute!) I

imagine if I call/visit/buy from these people, I can finally get the

info I'm looking for.

Wish me luck!
