OMG, , I'm so sorry the school is giving you and your son a difficult time.

I'm in total agreement with ...

I'd ask the principal for a copy of the schools puberty education handbook for

boys (most start Sex Ed by 4th or 5th grade) - I'd think that the school nurse

would have access to some kind of pamphlet too. Those documents/materials should

state that it's normal and that erections can occur for no reason.

If they don't have one, then see what you can find online via your local ISD's

website or just in a general search for your state's education code.

P & G have some online and are available to schools for purchase. Some are in PDF

which makes it handy if you'd like to email it, so I've provided links below.

This guide is for boys and it says: When a boy or man is sexually excited, or

sometimes for no reason at all, his penis becomes harder and stands away from

his body. This is called an erection

This is a guide for teachers/educators and it states:

Areas of frequent concern to boys are nocturnal emissions and involuntary

erections. Let students know that these are common during puberty.

I am in Texas and I found this online - you should have access to something

similar for your state. It's where the school gets the specifics when creating

an IEP with educational goals for your child. It's the basis of the school's

yearly curriculum.

Hope this helps - hang in there! :-)
