THE ANDY CUTLER(I HOPE I SPELLED THAT CORRECTLY) PROTOCOL. GFCF DIET AND SUPPLAMENTS. AND ALOT OF THEM. BUT FIRST SLOW DOWN AND READ ALOT ABOUT EACH SUPPLAMENT YOU START AND MAKE SURE TO GIVE THE RIGHT AMOUNT. CHELATING KIDS 2 IS A GREAT GROUP SO IS MERCURY-AUTISM. THE DIET ALONE FOR US HAS HELPED. BUT I HAVE STARTED SUPPLAMENTS AND EVEN BEFORE I CAN GET TO A DAN! I ALREADY HAVE SEEN IMPROVEMENTS. OH AND TRY TO FIND A GOOD DAN. ALOT OF THEM WILL WORK WITH YOU OVER THE PHONE. YEAST IS ANOTHER BIG ISSUES IM ABOUT TO TACKLE WITH MY SON. HANG IN THERE, AND REMEMBER BIOMED IS THE WAY TO GO!!

Hi Everyone,My daughter (6 in Oct) has always been 'quirky' and crawled/walked/ talked late (she was 4 an we still could hardly understand her). She is our oldest and I was always concerned but kept hearing she was fine, kids develop differently, give her time, I was pranoid (I never even thought Autism much less mentioned it) I just wanted to know why she was so late developmentally. Well last year, the LAST day of school her teacher assistant suggested I have her tested for Autism. WOW! Talk about feeling overwhelmed. I had just separated from her dad and she has two little brothers, one with severe asthma and both have food allergies. Maggie was/is our healthy one, or so I joked. But she has always been extremely shy, doens't make eye contact unless she knows you and is around you a LOT. She has always had sensitivity to loud noises , screaming at the vacumn cleaner, can't stand to be

in a crowd, etc. She doesn't play with other children really, she spoke to her teacher ONCE the last week of school. She hides, screams, etc when a stranger speaks to her (though that is getting better) that started when she was about 3 months old...I was the only one who could hold her without her screaming. At around 18 months old she began potty training then at 26 months everything went backwards. She didn't train til she was 3 and that was it. She has to have routine, everything needs to be the same (hard when divorcing) if I prep her in advance she does much better. When there are other kids playing and being noisy she plugs her ears and grimaces. Her hearing wa stested and is above average. She loves lining up her dolls, abth toys, shoes, you name it, it's in a neat line. She is a cleaning addict, lol, she cleans up EVERYTHING, the boys can't play for her picking up the toys. I could go on and

on...The ped I took her to said Autism in the first five minutes of seeing her behaviour. She is also having seizures (small silent ones for the most part)and is being follwed by a ped neurologist and ped neurosurgeon. She sees a therapist that she doesn't speak to, her Ped. she has had an MRI that showe dmixed grey/white matter in the left frontal lobe and evidence of a temporal lobe seizure (she was nearly 4 when that happened) as well a vein abnormailty in the frontal lobe. She goes to the Marcus Center this month for evaluation. Four of these dr's have said she is on the Autism Sprectrum. She has gotten better as far as what clothes she will wear (I buy the softest of everything)and she enjoys a bath now (used to scream until last year) she still can't go to sleep well..it takes her at least one hour usually longer and she wakes during the night biting her tongue. She is going in for a speech

eval...she talks well now but not to anyone but me and people she knows well. Her little brother (23 months) is showing a lot of the same symptoms and our ped. keeps saying it is learned behaviour. She suggested daycare for him to get him around other children...it is NOT helping. He has gotten over his separation issues for the most part but still screams pretty much ALL the time. He is very routine needy and almost OCD in his behaviours. I also have a 4 yr old and he is nothing at all like this...so if it were learned..wouldn' t he learn it too?I am scared because I don't want the baby waiting til he is in school and then us finding out we could have helped him!!!!!!!!! !So...there is a lot more but I will leave it at this for now.Any advice, good books to read, ways to help...are welcomed! Thanks so much!!!

Thanks,

We are addressing the yeast issue...she has always had an overgrowth

issue and it has gotten out of control. The baby has this too. I have

put them both on probiotics with bifida and a LOW sugar diet (the

baby doesn't really have sugar but fruit still) and we are slowly

introducing the gfcf..not too hard since both her brothers have milk

allergies. We are mostly casein free already! I am a single mom and

not complaining about it but it is sometimes tougher to meet ends

meet, so I am simply not buying anything else with gluten/casein and

slowly starting supplements as well. I have always been more of the

natural approach..our bodies react to what they are exposed to. We

have never vaxxed (?) and rarely take any medicince other than

allergy meds and she did take children's tylenol last week for her

migraine (school called because she threw up..when I got there within

15 minutes, her eye was swollen and she was holding her head

miserable) Today she ahd a headcahe though thankfully not a migraine.

Thanks for the advice and I'm so happy I found this group!!!!

Oh and what is DAN?
