Guest guest
> > Good Morning: > > Hoping someone may have an answer for this. My son is 14 years old and was diagnosed with Aspberger's 12 years ago. He has started pulling out his eye lashes everytime he gets really stressed out about something. He tells me when he is really upset about something, he doesnt even realize he is doing this. > > Any suggestions? > I had a friend who was enrolled in med school who did this before every exam. My son bites his lip. No good answers for you though. If you are seeing a therapist for your Ds you might ask for suggestions.
Guest guest
I'm sorry, but I don't have any solution to this other than try to help him avoid the stresses in his life. My 9 yr old is anxious, too. He bites his nails to the quick and has numerous vocal and facial tics which worsen if he is the least bit stressed. Often, these kinds of things pass after a short while, but sometimes, not. Guest guest
Look up trichnotillomania (spelling?). I actually do this with my hair, most of the time not aware of it. It started when I was about 16 or so. I thought it was an OCD thing.
