Guest guest
I have just started up a practice that is half primary care internal medicine, and half headache medicine. I am going overseas for 10 days in June-July, and I am trying to figure out what coverage to arrange and how much to pay for it. There is a semi-retired doctor I know who I think is willing to do it. I don't really need him to see patients unless someone develops an urgent situation, maybe a couple of hours every other day. And maybe he will have to fill some narcotics for a few chronic back pain patients. I am trying to figure out how much to pay him. I don't think he'll see enough patients to do a profit sharing and make it worth his while; I will just have to pay him an hourly wage, but I don't know how much that should be. Any suggestions?
