Guest guest
I'm reusing my SCOBY's by putting two and even three SCOBY's in my new batch. I'm thinking this may be affecting the quality and/or taste, but I'm not sure yet. So far everything tastes good. Each batch has been different in taste, in part because of my variations in the tea (green/black) and the timing of the bottling. Maybe the extra SCÎBY's are speeding up the process. After this batch is done in the next 7-10 days, I'll try using only one SCOBY per batch. Anybody with experience on this? Thanks. Some people think speeding up the brewing is a bad idea because good acids form after a certain amount of time, etc., but in the winter when your house is cold, a little speeding up won't hurt. Even in the summer my batches still took 7+ days. It's convenient to leave them in the brew also, for me. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J.
