Guest guest
Mel, I'm pretty sure that that news cast was from Australia. ew Re: I wonder if any of you have heard of Meat Glue No one is replying to this?? Guest guest
EW: Does it matter if it came from Australia, China, Timbucktooo. If they are gluing meat together and selling it as Prime Cuts, what else are they doing, that we don't know about. I remember buying Medallions of something, medallions of turkey, medallions of beef, and my friend had little filet mignons in her freezer. Now we have to think that these items might be leftover meat that has been glued together? Holy cow!!! Sorry to use the word cow!! lol Melody > > > > Thank goodness I haven't eaten in restaurant (except for japanese) in a LONG time. Guest guest
Meat glue is actually part of the reason I became vegetarian! I used to own a restaurant, and often noticed that my " meat " labels had an awful lot of " ingredients " . I questioned the suppliers, and they laughed and said " meat glue magic " . I wasn't ABOUT to serve that crap to my customers, but trust me when I tell you that finding commercial meat without it is VERY hard to do! It is in many meats you find in restaurants and just as many in your meat counter. Throw in food allergies, and having unlabeled " meat " that contains all sorts of chemicals is a close to deadly combination!! I have been vegetarian for many years now, so have lost touch with what is current in the meat industry, but as bad as it was 20 some years ago, I can only imagine it to be far more prevalent now! > > > > Thank goodness I haven't eaten in restaurant (except for japanese) in a LONG time. The glue is mild comparatively. I won't bring it up here, but if you are curious-google for info or feel free to drop me an email. I have zero desire for meat, knowing what I know. I will happily stick to my sprouts and veggies!
Guest guest
, we've been vegetarians since 1989. More and more, I'm so glad we did. Because of the GMO stuff, we're organic too.
