Hi All,

I hope your Thanksgiving day holiday was wonderful and you enjoyed the day with

family and good food!

I have been dealing with constipation issues since my revision to the DS. I

have added the following to my daily regime to try and alleviate it;

1. increased my water intake

2. started taking Miralax daily

3. added 500mg of Magnesium Oxide to every dose of Calcium Citrate I take

4. I occasionally will take Magnesium Citrate per Dr. K's recommendation if I go

more then 3 days with out a BM.

This has helped out some and I am hoping I am on the way to correcting this

issue.

My question is since Calcium Citrate is known to be a heavy contributor to

constipation (I don't think it is my only contributor). I have been prone to

constipation prior to my ERNY. ERNY fixed this issue for me but when I revised

to the DS my issue came back. I have read that Calcium Hydroxyapatite may be a

good alternative and does not have the issue of causing constipation. I have

some on order to try out and I plan on having my labs checked every 3 months to

ensure that I do not start depleting my levels. Have any of you heard about the

outcomes of Hydroxyapatite or the potential pit falls that may occur? Or do any

of you have any other suggestions on how to correct constipation issues?

Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.
