Guest guest
>>Please beware of ginseng if you have hbp it is not compatible. nne--can you elaborate? Those I know with high blood pressure don't eat right. They overtax insulin, overproteinate, etc. My brother keeps wondering if I got lucky genetically, but I wouldn't put up with high blood pressure. Tai chi had a beneficial effect on my husband's high BP. He thinks it's easier to take Lisinopril and forget about it, but then he causes me concern when he gets dizzy from exertion (due to the drug). Potassium is a biggie with high BP and blood sugar problems as well. J.
Guest guest
" Potassium is a biggie with high blood sugar " How do you mean? Good or bad? I have low blood pressure but my blood sugar is on the hgh side. I take a ginseng complex - Koren ginseng - 200 mg, American ginseng - 200 mg, - Red Chinese ginseng 200 mg, Siberian ginseng 200mg, and royal jelly 200 mg I thought ginseng was ginseng, so I got one with some of all. Did I make a mistake? I also drink green tea which has lemon and ginseng but I don't know which kind. Thanks, Serita
Guest guest
Perhaps you should research lisinopril for your brother so that you can show him just what the drugs are doing to him - each and every. Ginseng is a stimulent and that is why you should avoid it if you have hbp. He is doing untol damage to his heart each and every dizzy spell that he gets. If he is taking bp lowering pills and carrying on as if he has no health problems, he will end up in hospital with a lot more than he started with. The whole point of bp becoming high is to tell you that you are doing things wrong and for you to change your lifestyle and/or diet accordingly. nne > nne--can you elaborate? Guest guest
Serita I do hope that you are not taking any meds to raise your bp because all that ginseng and green tea are stimulents and will raise it quite well for you. nne > " Potassium is a biggie with high blood sugar " How do you mean? Guest guest
I take 15 drops of Dr. Schultz's cayenne tincture every day. It lowers my BP more than anything else. jim marianne2406@... wrote: >Perhaps you should research lisinopril for your brother so that you can show >him just what the drugs are doing to him - each and every. > >Ginseng is a stimulent and that is why you should avoid it if you have hbp. > >He is doing untol damage to his heart each and every dizzy spell that he >gets. Guest guest
Thanks for the inof, I had just been told not to have it because it was a stimulant, this clarifies it brilliantly. nne > Ginseng is an adaptogen, and research shows it can > lower blood pressure, although, some research shows > the opposite. Guest guest
Hi nne Thanks for your concern but I do not take meds for bp. Raising it a few points won't hurt anything. But how does potassium effect blood sugar? Is it good or bad? Serita
Guest guest
Ginseng is an adaptogen, and research shows it can lower blood pressure, although, some research shows the opposite. If a person has high blood pressure, ginseng would not necessarily be the first thing to take, but it is also not automatically excluded from being considered. Ginseng stimulates the immune system, but just calling it a stimulant is misleading. jp Ginseng is a stimulent and that is why you should avoid it if you have hbp. He is doing untol damage to his heart each and every dizzy spell that he gets. If he is taking bp lowering pills and carrying on as if he has no health problems, he will end up in hospital with a lot more than he started with.
