Tomorrow I'll post a summary of everyone's challenges. Of course you can continue your candy and desserts challenge. The challenge starts tomorrow, but still stay away from that cake! Guest guest
Yeah, I'm going to try to get back into the taebo habit. Plus I'm also watching my portions etc. I'd like to do WW, but the cost is too much for me. So I'm going to try to do it on my own. Joan Re: New 21DC > Elena, > > Can you add me to the 21DC? After several months of being sick, on vacation or just plain too tired to get up early, I actually got up this morning and TB! Right now I'm just hoping for 2 days in a row!!! ;-) > >I got you down, Joan. Guest guest
Joan, I also do WW! I do it on my own also. I don't go to weigh in, or to weekly meetings, and I have been doing quite well on it. So if you need any support or motivation just let me know! Nice to hear that I'm not the only one not going to weigh in, or meetings! =) Smiles, Lacey
Guest guest
Ok, I am in for no desserts or sweets except the occasional frozen yogurt. I kinda need some motivation lately anyway! Thanks so much! > Lacey, Wow, 90 days in a row of Tae-Bo? You might want to consider taking a day off to give your body a rest....it will do wonders in terms of helping you stay motivated! You'll be surprised how much better you feel after a day of rest....I know it's hard, but sometimes we really need to listen to our bodies and give it a rest
Guest guest
Thanks Lacey! It means a lot to me that I have someone whom I can go to for help. Joan :-) Re: Re: New 21DC Joan, I also do WW! Guest guest
Thanks Darcy! I've done taebo three days in a row now, so I have some momentum and I just have to keep it going. I also mowed the back lawn for dh. He usually does it but didn't have a chance to get the back done and it's supposed to rain today so I got out there and did it. I can't believe the workout that it was! My arms, legs and hands hurt. But it's done and he'll be surprised. Joan Re: New 21DC You can do it Joan!!! Two days in a row is a great challenge to yourself. Those baby steps get you a LONG way in the end!! Glad to see you back and kicking Darcy who wishes you the best in jumping back into Tae-Bo > Elena, > > Can you add me to the 21DC? Guest guest
Ok guys, I need to tweak my 21 day challenge a bit. I don't want to wait until next week to start so I think it's best that I make a small change to what I originally said. I said that I would not eat out at all... well, silly me forgot that I have a luncheon with some coworkers next week. So, I guess I will vow to not eat any fast food at all for 21 days. I will try to get out of the luncheon... not just because of the challenge and the fact that I feel focused and want to carry out the challenge but simply because I really don't want to go... but if they press the issue I will just go and get it over and done with. I will try to find something relatively healthy to eat. So, that's the deal! I just needed to voice it so I wouldn't feel like a failure if I end up going. Guest guest
Jenni, 21 days without eating out? Are you crazy????? (j/k of course) I could never, ever do that. In fact, sometimes I find I eat healthier if I go to a real restaurant than I would if I had thrown something together at home. Too many of the convenience meals I get sucked into buying are loaded with cheese, butter etc. Plus, I tend to order lots of low cal shellfish that I can't eat at home because of cost and because of my hubby's allergies. 21 days without fast food sounds good. That's where the real calories come in. Maybe you could limit yourself to only eating non-fried fish, vegetarian dishes or lean chicken at restaurant? That way when the 21 days is over you don't head straight to the Olive Garden looking for some pampering. Just my opinion mind you. You know best what you need. :-) a Who went out with her husband tonight to celebrate their 1 year anniversary (finally) without alcohol. (Today will probably be the hardest so I am adding in a journaling challenge save two days when I move) > > Ok guys, I need to tweak my 21 day challenge a bit. I usually try to find something healthy when I go out BUT the serving size is often 3 times what it should be and I usually clean my plate. Two... I simply need to save money! It's ridiculous how much money I spend eating out! I will definitely try your suggestions, I need all the help I can get! I usually don't have too much bad food at home. Not to say that I don't ever overeat when I am home. I've been known to binge eat the low fat stuff. I think that now that I won't be home as much I won't eat out of boredom as much. Congrats on your one year anniversary!! Has it really been that long? Man, does time fly! That's so awesome, , not having alcohol on a day like that had to be a challenge but you did it! Way to go! Guest guest
Jenni, I understand the budget issue as well as the serving size issue. I make it a goal to bring home a to go box whenever I can and I remind myself that I need to leave enough for a second full meal. It has really helped. Thanks for the anniversary congrats! I still haven't whipped him in to shape. But he has come along way over the last year :-) We celebrated in a pretty famous restaurant in the Marine Corps. The Globe and Laurel. We were seated right next to the full bar. I don't HAVE to have alcohol but I love having a glass of wine with a romantic dinner and I love toasting special occasions. doesn't believe in drinking so that makes it a little easier for me. My one to two drinks a week won't kill me by any means I just need to get out of the habit of thinking that if it is a special occasion there MUST be wine. a/ > > > Yes, I AM crazy! Remember the challenge has to be liveable. Otherwise, it won't lead to lifetime habits. Elena
