Guest guest
Hi , If you are seeking a doctor near San Diego, consider contacting the University of California at San Diego ADRC (Alzheimer's Disease Research & Care) center. The director, Dr. Galasko, took part in a symposium in 1996 where a group of scientists defined the diagnostic criteria for LBD. He and others at UCSD that are involved in LBD research also provide clinical and diagnostic services. You mentioned having a hard time getting your mom to doctors appointments. My county Senior Center has a wheelchair accessable transport services for people with difficulties. Your local Area Agency on Aging should have information on services that are available in your area. It sounds like you have many challenges, with five young children and your mother so ill. I'm sorry that your siblings are not more helpful. I hope that you can find a way to encourage them to become more involved. Take care, Peggy
