Guest guest Posted November 2, 2005 Report Share Posted November 2, 2005 HI All, We have an afternoon appt. with CCAC (agency where you get your LO plugged in to the senior system here in Ontario) for my father tomorrow. We have put it off for as long as we can but we the LTCF where my mother is staying told us that they have found my father waiting outside their doors at 5:00 in the morning waiting to get in! He isn't eating right, isn't taking his meds (when I organized them he said I was trying to kill him), refuses to go to his doctor appt's etc., I want to honor his wishes and let him stay home but how????? We can probably have someone come in a few times a week to help him shower and do some light house cleaning but what about the wandering, the eating and the meds. I'm so angry at my brothers right now because I told them that when it was dad's turn to go in that they were going to have to take care of it because I did it for mom.......well, guess who has to do all the work and have her father hate her even more! I'm having to dig really deep these last two days to put one foot in front of the other. Many of you here know what a damned soap opera my life has been in the last few years - one thing after another - and on the whole I think I've handled it as pretty good but I can tell I am running on fumes now. Need to find a way to fill up again. A few days away would be wonderful but if I do that it means my sister gets left with the entire responsibility.......aye!
