Guest guest
I have owned and/or been a moderator on many groups (legal and otherwise) for more than 20 years so I have some idea of what flaming is and how it starts. It starts with ones perspective. For example: Sit down with an argumentative rock head across the table from you. Holding a coffee cup in your right hand, sit it on the table with the handle to the right. Ask the argumentative rock head what side the handle is on. They will argue with you until the cows come home that the handle is on the LEFT when you see that the handle as being on the RIGHT. It's all in ones perspective and, both of you are correct FROM YOUR PERSPECTIVE. If YOU are the argumentative rock head, you will NEVER put yourself in the other persons shoes and, therefore, can NEVER see anything from someone else's perspective. Thus we have destroyed interpersonal relationships between group members, husbands and wives, friends, relatives and/or acquaintances. Your unwillingness to see the difference in perspectives just keeps fanning the flames of separation, disgust and anger. Internet flaming starts exactly this way. I mention your name because I feel I know more than you, you fire back at me because you feel you know more than me. Both of us are correct but refuse to see it from the others PERSPECTIVE. People put others down to make themselves look good IN THEIR OWN EYES and from THEIR PERSPECTIVE, simple as that. The other side of the coin is... If you don't like the way this group is run go start your own group and run it however you want. Bad mouthing me or anyone else in the group will only get you Moderated or Banned. New people join the group regularly so you won't be missed. The door to the group swings both ways. Flaming in the SLIGHTEST DEGREE will not be tolerated ON OR OFF LIST, period. It matters not to us one whit whether or not you can see it from the Mods perspective. We Mods are not interested in moderating or banning anybody but rest assured, we will if necessary. We will have peace. Bill -- To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.
