Guest guest
Hi , Yes, we still have some really awful weeks with the OCD despite medication and years of therapy. My daughter (10.5 with OCD / ADHD / TS) got so bad in January that I was beside myself - but then gradually she came out of it. It took 2 months though... And now her tics are particularly bad and causing new problems. It is incredibly frustrating that OCD is so unpredictable and illogical. My daughter has a really tough time with school also - but not always, so her teachers are continually baffled about her. The best description I've ever heard of OCD came from this list : someone described it as being like " whack-a-mole " , the game in which you bop different moles on the head as fast as they jump out of their holes. I feel as if I am continually just putting out fires and I'm not sure we ever make any real forward progress. It's very tiring. Best wishes, in NV
