Guest guest
sean, welcome to our wonderful family. feel free to express all of your thoughts and concerns here, we have as a collective group experienced quite a bit, i am caregiver for my 70 year old father who was diagnosed with lbd in just this may he has probably had the disease for 7 years. he started with unexplaiined falls and with extreme paranoid. fluctuating awareness if one of the key things in lbd. that is why this disease can fool so many because non caregivers think the patient in faking when it comes to lbd. two weeks ago dad called teh bank and did a monetary tranasction, and today he couldnt dial the phone if thehouse was on fire. dad is on exelon which is one of the better medicines for lbd , and he has regained some of his awareness back with it. i think it has done a world of good for him. after he tops out on exelon this next visit he will have namenda added to his regimen, there are many good files and info on the homoe page of this site and they have details about medicines, details about symptoms and other pertinent things. try to read as much as you can, give info on the disaese and bad mediinces to your pharmacist for them to be sure to help monitor the meds. please feell free to be yourself, vent your frustrations, ask your questions, cry your tears, stomp your feet, and even laugh at something that looking back was truly funny. we all understand , we are here for you and will help you in any way we can, in this group we are blunt with our answers, we ahve to be, to help each other out, and there is no topic that is unapproachable when it comes to this group, believe me i know from first hand when i started having in appropriate sexual behavoiors from my dad. hugs and welcome to our family!!! sharon m a smile a day keeps the meanies away!!! laughter is a breath of fresh air!
